The CEO Woman We teach women business owners the "how-to" of building a sustainable business. We’re more than a consulting company.

The CEO Woman, founded by serial entrepreneur Tina Johnson, equips women entrepreneurs to build businesses that thrive, without sacrificing who they are. We’re a sisterhood of women who believe success comes from strategy, accountability, and authentic community. Our business programs and marketing services are designed to give women the clarity, structure, and support they need to grow with confidence.

There comes a point in growing a business when being capable of doing everything becomes part of the problem.

You can answer the emails, fix the website, handle the client issue, update the spreadsheet, write the proposal, and jump into every problem that comes across your desk.

But should you?

One of the hardest transitions we make as CEOs is realizing that our value to the business isn't measured by how much we can personally accomplish.

It's measured by how well we lead what we're building.

That means creating systems. Delegating. Developing people. Protecting time to think. And staying focused on the decisions only you can make.

Your next level doesn't need a busier version of you.

It needs a more intentional CEO.

What's ONE thing you're still doing that someone else could own? Identify it this week and start creating a plan to hand it off.

October has always felt like an important month for business owners.

We're far enough into the year to see what's working—and what's clearly not.

But we're not so far into it that we can't do something about it.

That's the opportunity.

Maybe you aren't where you thought you'd be by now. Maybe a goal didn't happen. Revenue looks different than you planned. You spent too much time on something that didn't produce the results you expected.

That's not a reason to write off the rest of the year.

It's information.

As CEOs, we have to be willing to look at the business honestly, without turning every missed goal into a personal failure.

What worked? What didn't? What needs more attention? What needs to stop?

There are still months left in this year.

Use them intentionally.

The year isn’t over. Neither is your opportunity to change the outcome. What’s your next move?

One of the hardest parts of being a CEO is that eventually, no one is standing over your shoulder asking if you did what you said you were going to do.

You're the boss.

And that's exactly why accountability becomes so important.

It's easy to move your own strategy meeting. Push the goal another month. Put the client's emergency ahead of your business. Tell yourself you'll get to the big-picture work “when things slow down.”

We both know how that usually goes.

You don't need someone to manage you.

You need people who understand what you're building, challenge your thinking, celebrate the wins, and remind you of the commitments you made to yourself.

That's part of why we created the Women’s CEO Business School.

Because you may own the business—but you were never meant to figure out every stage of growing it alone.

I love a fresh notebook, a great planning session, and a page full of ideas as much as anyone.

But eventually, we have to close the notebook and get to work.

One of the biggest differences I see between businesses that stay stuck and businesses that grow isn't a lack of good ideas.

It's implementation.

We know we need to delegate. Raise the price. Build the system. Follow up. Fix the marketing. Make the hire. Protect our time.

And yet knowing what to do can feel deceptively close to actually doing it.

It isn't.

As CEOs, our job isn't to collect more information. It's to make decisions, create a plan, measure what happens, and adjust along the way.

So this October, don't ask yourself, “What else should I learn?”

Ask yourself:

“What do I already know that I haven't implemented yet?”

Then start there.

Save this post, schedule 30 minutes this week, and turn ONE idea you've been sitting on into an actual next step.

Not every win in business comes with an announcement.

Sometimes the win is making a decision you’ve been thinking about for months.

Having the conversation you used to avoid.

Trusting your experience instead of second-guessing yourself.

Creating a boundary that gives you back some of your time.

Saying yes to an opportunity that stretches you—or finally saying no to something that no longer fits.

Those moments may never show up on a revenue report, but they matter.

Because building a successful business isn't only about how much the business grows.

It's also about how much you grow while building it.

As we head into the final months of the year, don't overlook the quieter progress you've made along the way.

You may be further ahead than you realize.

What’s one way YOU have grown as a CEO this year? Take a moment to give yourself credit—and then keep going.

It was the starting line for the next phase of your business.

The Women’s CEO Summit may be over, but what happens next is where the real work begins.

You stepped away from the day-to-day. You asked questions. You had conversations. You wrote down ideas. And hopefully, you made a few decisions about what needs to happen next in your business.

Now comes the part that matters most: following through.

Because inspiration feels incredible in the room, but transformation happens when you go home and do something with it.

So before another week gets away from you, pull out those notes. Look at the decisions you made. Choose ONE thing you can move forward right now.

Not ten things. Not the entire plan.

One meaningful next step.

Tell us in the comments: What is ONE decision you're taking action on this month?
