Most of us don't have an outdoor fireplace like the one in this picture (it just looked cool) but many of us have a fireplace or even a cozy little wood stove inside of our homes. The best time to get them cleaned and serviced is always in the summer when demand is lower but if you need to be fit in quickly as the temperature drops, give us a call. We won't be there immediately this time of year, but we will do our best to advise you honestly and get you seen as quickly as possible.

I haven't posted any pictures for awhile. I install the same units over and over again.
Once in a while, a company will make a new stove that I get to install.
This is the new Mendota 3 sided freestanding gas stove placed on a glass teardrop floor pad.
This unit was sold by the wonderful sales team at
Chelmsford Fireplace Center.

It is going to be unseasonably warm today. We know you love the way your fireplace brings a glow to your home in these fall days BUT did you know that wood stoves can struggle on hot days for a few reasons:

Draft Issues: On hot days, the temperature difference between the inside and outside of your home is smaller, which can reduce the natural draft (airflow) needed to keep the fire burning efficiently.

Moisture Content: Hot weather can sometimes bring higher humidity, which can make wood harder to ignite and keep burning.

Overheating: If your home is already warm, the wood stove might not be needed to provide additional heat, causing it to go out or not ignite properly.

Today is not the day to decide that you have an issue with your stove. However, if you notice these same issues once the temperature drops next week, give us a call.
