This Tuesday, March 31st, will be the 45th anniversary of Taj Narbonne's disappearance from 15 Naples St. in 1981.

The reward flyer below was created and dispersed by the Narbonne family; specifically Louis and Eunice - his grandparents.

I was fortunate to be able to sit down with them on many occasions, but their pain was never hidden. They wanted to know where their grandson was, and they had only one request...don't give up on trying. They never did get that answer.

The Narbonne's are not the only family still looking for answers. As of early 2026, there were over 26,000 active, long-term missing cases, with 38% missing for more than 20 years. And, there are roughly 4,400 unidentified bodies recovered annually, with many remaining unidentified after one year. This is reality.

If you ever have the opportunity to speak to, or listen to a family of a missing person, please do it. You will become an advocate of the missing and will make a difference.

Every family deserves access to an experienced investigator throughout a case; although you do not have to be one make a difference. Some of the best researchers I know aren't in law enforcement. Massachusetts families deserve a state-wide unit that has the sole purpose of working with law enforcement to resolve some of these cases.

If I have learned one thing in unresolved missing person cases, and Taj's is not the only one...stay positive in a world full of critics. It matters to a family, the person's friends, and to the investigation.
