- PB Alpine Herd Sire Available -

We have decided to offer one of our junior herd sires. Everything in me says I’ll regret this, but this guy is directly related to 8 out of the 10 does we have.

Of the two he can be bred to, one is currently carrying his kids and the other will be retired after this next kidding. It just doesn’t make sense to keep him around for so little use, and I feel a buck of this caliber deserves to be somewhere he’ll be proven out.

There’s a significant sentimental aspect here, his dam is my first home bred CH, and the doe I believe to be one of the best in our herd, and his littermate was the best kid we have ever produced who we tragically lost this past summer.

All of that to say, I will be selective on where he goes and he will be sold on a first right of refusal contract.

Can’t help but smile looking at this consistency! ❤️

Back and rump in our barn are worth about 75 of the 100 points on the unified scorecard, these 2026 keeper kids understood the assignment 🤣

⭐️GAUGING INTEREST⭐️

While our local buck collection isn’t until after convention this year, we are considering attending a collection prior to convention if there’s enough interest in our boys.

Our herdsire lineup is made up of 3 junior and fully unproven boys. While we have tremendous faith in the genetics behind these boys, we will be offering straws at extremely cheap introductory pricing for THIS SEASON ONLY.

We will take an interest list on a first come first serve basis, and availability will be dependent on how the boys collect, all of these boys appear to have successfully covered girls so far this season, but there’s no way to predict the quantity of straws they’ll produce, so if you want some act fast!

Pricing:

(PB Alpine) KICKAPOO VALLEY LORD VELOCITY
-5/$100

(Experimental) SHADY LAWN SS KING
-5/$100

(PB Alpine) WATER HILL ACE’S VINCENT
-5/$75

Our bridesmaid finally pulled it off! 🥳🥳

WATER HILL SINFUL KISS won grand, earning her dry leg, in the Recorded Grade Specialty this weekend at the SE District Fair!

And to top it off, she went on to be named BEST IN SHOW!! We are thrilled 💜💛

Our two shining stars of the weekend:

Water Hill Sinful Kiss pulled off 1st in her class in 3 of 4 rings, and went on to earn one grand and one reserve.

Water Hill Ace Valentina was also first in 3 of 4 rings, however she couldn’t quite beat the phenomenal dry yearlings in attendance so no ribbons for her this time.

Very proud of these two girls!

Water Hill is set up and ready for an exciting day at the Browsin the Pines-Freedom 250 Edition!

Kiss took her rest before the big day very seriously 😂

Highlighting our final junior herdsire:

💫KICKAPOO VALLEY LORD VELOCITY💫

Velocity is one where very little introduction is needed. His dam has had a lifetime of success in the show ring, and his sire has managed 18 years of relevancy in the French Alpine herdbook. Born in 2008, we find it incredible that Lord Wimsey continues to produce high quality competitive animals nearly 20 years later, considering his 2026 daughter was the Reserve Junior National Champion!

When we saw this guy earlier in the year in the Good Old Boys online sale, we knew it was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up. His dam shows the same strength we strive for within our herd, but with the addition of more dairy strength and refinement, and happens to be our favorite color, sundgau! We don’t breed for color, but after the chamoisee tsunami we had this year using Sin City 😆, we’re looking forward to more variety in the kid pen this spring.

We plan to collect this guy later in the year and hope to have enough straws to offer some for sale.
