One-man crew with both my machines today 😂🏚️

The excavator had the reach and nearly 10,000 lbs of breakout force to pull it apart, while the skid steer handled the cleanup.

Turns out you can’t p**p on two toilets at once… so an on-time employee would’ve been CLUTCH today 😂

Took one day to tear this apart 💪

The excavator gives us the reach to safely manage the pile, while the skid steer moves big amounts of debris quickly.

That rope might not look like much from the cab… but it’s one of the reasons your tree ends up on the ground instead of in your living room 🌳

We use professional bull ropes rated around 20,000 lbs 🪢

We inspect our gear regularly ✅

And as a rule, climbers shall have someone else inspect their climbing gear so there’s no bias or being too lenient with your own equipment 🔍

This is something we wish more people asked us to do… just put the tree on the ground

This customer had 4 large dead oaks.. one near the house, one near the power lines, one near the main road..

Instead of paying for all the cleanup and hauling, we “Chop & Dropped” all 4

If cleanup makes the price too high just ask us to put it on the ground

We make a living removing trees and clearing land, but we also understand that what we remove today can take generations to replace.

That’s one of the reasons we started a Florida Certified Nursery, growing and selling fruit trees and hardwood trees to help offset some of what gets removed.

The question we keep coming back to is… how many families will truly value replanting for the next generation, and at what cost will all of this eventually come?

These homeowners bought a wooded piece of land just 200 ft from the Suwannee River with a vision for a private place to vacation and spend time with family.

We left a thick stand of trees along the front for privacy, carved a long driveway through the woods, and opened up a secluded clearing in the back for their future RV spot and weekends by the river.

Sometimes land clearing isn’t about clearing everything… it’s about clearing just enough to uncover the potential. 🌲🏕️

If I had to build a fleet all over again, I’d still buy the skid steer first..

But the day you add an excavator… everything changes.

Before this week’s multi-day demolition project, we stopped by Crystal Tractor of Live Oak to top off our hydraulic fluid and give both machines a once-over.

The excavator brings a whole different level of versatility. Its long boom lets it reach where a skid steer can’t. The thumb can grab, hold, rotate, and precisely place material. It digs, tears, sorts, and loads with a level of control that’s hard to appreciate until you’ve run one.

Together, the Bobcat T66 and Kubota KX040-4 make a combination that’s tough to beat.

Now there’s only two things left on the wish list… 🤔
