Alzheimer's Caregiver Relief

Alzheimer's Caregiver Relief I’ve lived this hell. Now I help other Alzheimer’s caregivers survive—with stamina, direction, and a plan. You don’t need pep talks. This isn’t theory. No fluff.

You need a path forward—and someone walking it with you
every step of the way. Caregiving for a loved one with Alzheimer’s is BRUTAL. I know—because I live it every single day. I’m Johnny Burchett, founder of Fortis Invictus | Alzheimer's Caregiver Relief—but more importantly, the husband of Vera, who passed from Alzheimer’s. After years of corporate success, I left it all behind to become her fu

ll-time caregiver. Nothing prepares you for the exhaustion, heartbreak, and soul-draining weight of this journey. That’s why I’m here—to help you. If you're burned out, running on fumes, and feel like you're losing yourself in the process… you're not alone. I help exhausted Alzheimer’s caregivers survive the storm—and find the stamina to keep showing up without falling apart. Through hard-earned wisdom, faith, and a battle-tested roadmap, I help you:

* Rebuild your energy
* Restore your peace
* And stop drowning in a role that’s slowly breaking you

This isn’t therapy. This is SURVIVAL—and it starts with one message:

You were never meant to do this alone. Fortis Invictus means “Unconquered Strength.”
And whether you feel it right now or not—it’s still inside you. My job is to help you find it again.

“He strengthens those who are weak and tired.” – Isaiah 40:29

I’ve been quiet.
Not because I disappeared — but because I’ve been serving caregivers who were in the thick of it, not just talking about it.

Now I’m back.
And this space matters more than ever.

Fortis Invictus — dab Caregiver Relief — is built on four pillars.
Not motivation. Not hype. Not quick fixes.

Four pillars forged from real caregiving — through exhaustion, endurance, faith, and lived experience.

RISE — The Framework Behind Everything Done Here

R – Relief
Caregivers can’t think clearly or function on empty. Relief isn’t a luxury. It’s a requirement.

I – Ignite
When hope feels distant and the fire is nearly out, this pillar reignites what still burns inside you. Not pep talks — real renewal.

S – Support
Not pity.
Not surface encouragement.
Real support, from someone who’s walked this road and understands what it costs.

E – Empower
This isn’t about coping anymore.
It’s about reclaiming control — your mindset, your energy, and your direction.

If you’re new here, welcome.
If you’ve been here waiting, thank you.

This group isn’t for spectators.
It’s for caregivers who are tired of doing this alone.

Over the next few days, I’ll break down each pillar — so you clearly understand how this helps you, not just in theory, but in the realities of everyday caregiving.

For now, answer this honestly:
Which pillar do you need most right now — Relief, Ignite, Support, or Empower?

Drop the letter below.
Because you didn’t find this group by accident.
You’re here for a reason.

RISE — Part Two: Survival, Not Motivation

Yesterday I shared the RISE framework — not as an idea, but as the foundation of everything built inside this space.

Today, we make it real.
Because this isn’t about what sounds good.
It’s about what you actually need right now.

Caregiving doesn’t just drain your energy.
It drains your thinking.
Your hope.
Your sense of control.
Your identity.

That’s why RISE isn’t four “motivational pillars.”
It’s a survival structure.

Here’s the question I want you to answer today — not for me.
For you.

Which pillar are you standing on… and which one are you hanging off of?
• Are you running on fumes and just trying to make it through the day?
→ That’s Relief.

• Are you still showing up, but the fire feels low or almost out?
→ That’s Ignite.

• Are you doing everything alone and quietly breaking under the weight?
→ That’s Support.

• Or are you tired of just surviving… and ready to take back control of your life again?
→ That’s Empower.

There’s no “right” answer here.
Only an honest one.

And here’s the truth most people won’t tell you:
You don’t choose your pillar based on what you want.
You choose it based on what you need to survive and function better right now.

So drop a comment below with just one word:
Relief
Ignite
Support
Empower

No explanations required if you don’t want to.
No pressure.
Just clarity.

Because once you name it,
we can start strengthening it — together.❤️

RISE — Part Four:
EMPOWER — The Moment You Decide to Rise

Most caregivers don’t realize this, but empowerment isn’t a feeling…

It’s a decision.
A line in the sand.
A moment when you say, “I can’t keep doing it like this… and I won’t.”

Empowerment is when the fog of exhaustion finally breaks and you see that your life matters too.

It’s when you start reclaiming your energy, your peace, your purpose — one small but deliberate step at a time.

This pillar is where the shift becomes real.
• You stop apologizing for needing help.
• You stop pretending you’re “fine.”
• You stop sacrificing yourself to the point of collapse.
• You start showing up for YOU — because your loved one needs the strongest version of you possible.

This is where caregivers rediscover their voice.
Their boundaries.
Their courage.
Their God-given spirit.

You don’t rise by accident…
You rise because you finally choose to.

f you’re ready to step into that kind of empowerment — the kind that restores your mind, body, and spirit — you’re not doing it alone. 💜

That’s why I built the RISE framework in the first place.
If you have questions or want help applying this pillar to your own journey, drop them in the comments. I’m here.

RISE — Part Three: What Survival Actually Looks Like

In Part Two, I asked you a hard question:
Which pillar are you standing on… and which one are you hanging off of?

Today, I’m not giving you motivation.

I’m giving you something more important.

Direction.

Because survival isn’t about pushing harder.
It’s about stabilizing what’s wobbling.

Here’s what survival actually looks like inside each RISE pillar:

If you chose Relief
It doesn’t mean you’re weak.
It means you’re depleted.

So survival for you right now looks like this:
• Rest without guilt
• Short breaks without apology
• One small act of self-care that doesn’t feel selfish
• Saying “no” to one thing draining you

Relief isn’t quitting.
It’s refueling.

I
f you chose Ignite
You’re still functioning.
But your inner fire feels low.

So survival for you looks like this:
• Listening to something uplifting while driving or cooking
• Reading one scripture, quote, or line that anchors you
• Moving your body for even 5–10 minutes
• Replacing one negative thought with truth

Ignite doesn’t mean forcing motivation.
It means protecting the spark.

If you chose Support
You’re carrying too much alone.

So survival for you looks like this:
• Posting in this group instead of staying silent
• Asking for help once this week
• Letting someone know how you’re really doing
• Removing the “I should do this myself” lie

Support is not weakness.
It’s strategy.

If you chose Empower
You’re tired of just surviving.

So survival for you now looks like this:
• Setting one personal boundary
• Taking back one small piece of your identity
• Planning something just for you
• Saying “I’m more than just a caregiver” and meaning it

Empower isn’t selfish.
It’s preparation for the road ahead.

Here’s what I want you to know:

You don’t climb all four pillars at once.
You strengthen the one that’s holding you TODAY.

So tell me in the comments…

Which one small survival step from YOUR pillar will you commit to this week?

Just one.
Not perfection.
Not pressure.

Just progress.

Because survival isn’t heroic.
It’s intentional.

And you’re not doing it alone.

You’ve been carrying so much—

the weight of someone else’s life…
the pressure to hold it all together…

and the grief of watching someone you love slowly slip away.

But God sees what no one else sees.

He sees your heart.
He sees your strength when no one’s watching.
He sees your tears when you cry alone.

You weren’t made to carry this alone.
You weren’t meant to run on empty.

And if you’re reading this right now… maybe this is His way of saying:

“You’ve done enough on your own. Let someone help carry you.”

No one sees the things you silently grieve as a caregiver.

The plans you’ve had to cancel.
The sleep you’ve lost.
The people who’ve disappeared.
The version of yourself that feels… gone.

People mean well. But they don’t understand what it costs you just to hold it together.

And you?
You just keep showing up.

Even when it’s breaking your heart.

I see you.
I’ve lived it.

And I built something for caregivers like us—because this road shouldn’t be walked alone.

If you’re still reading this…

That means you’re not like most caregivers.

Most keep suffering in silence.
Most never ask for help.
But you’re here. That matters.

You’ve already taken the first step by showing up.
Now let me show you the next one.

It’s not therapy. It’s not trial-and-error.
It’s a proven roadmap from someone who’s lived it.

And it starts with one conversation.

💬 Type “READY” below or message me directly.
I’ll send you the exact survival plan I created for caregivers who are drowning.
You don’t have to keep living like this.

But you do have to decide.

When Martha found me, she was exhausted…

Raising her grandson while caring for her son with early-onset Alzheimer’s.
She told me, “I felt trapped in misery.”

Today?

She’s grounded. Confident. Even joyful.
She didn’t need another inspirational quote.

She needed a roadmap and a guide who had walked it before.

Now she’s no longer drowning—she’s breathing again.

That’s what this work is about.
It’s not motivation—it’s transformation.

💬 Drop a ❤️ if you’re ready for your own turnaround. Or comment “NEXT” if you want to talk.

I remember when I was just trying to make it through the day.

I wasn’t looking for hope or healing—I just wanted to stop feeling like I was drowning.

If you’re there now, I want you to hear this:

You don’t have to stay in survival mode.
You can rebuild energy.
You can get your patience back.
You can wake up and not dread the day ahead.

This isn’t a fantasy.

It’s a process. A roadmap.
I’ve lived it. I share it now with other caregivers.

And it starts with one decision:

To stop doing this alone.

💬 Comment “READY” if you’re done just surviving. I’ll show you the first step.
