I stood in front of that crowd and used my words. I prayed God would let the people who needed them hear them. Afterward, one woman came to me and said “Thank you so much you spoke my story.”

Baby I could of cried because ALL IT TAKES IS 1! Because sometimes you are speaking and wondering if anybody can even hear you. Then God sends one person to remind you that your voice reached exactly where it was supposed to reach. Bless her God. Bless every family carrying a story that is hard to explain. Amen🙏🏾

Talking him through is not just about telling him what feels good in the bedroom. Its letting him know what hurts before the world hears it first. Its saying “Baby I’m mad af but I want to understand before I decide what this means for us.” Its telling him what you notice and what you need more of. But if YOU don’t know he Won’t!

Because a man can’t learn how to love you if you only let him see you when you are upset. Let him know you.

I came to create a vision board. I did not expect to speak. But somewhere between the pictures, the conversations, and women coming together to be intentional about their lives, I got to share why mindset and accountability mean so much to me.

You cannot become the version of yourself you keep talking about if you have never sat down long enough to get clear on who she is. Creating the life you want is not just putting pictures on a board. It is giving yourself permission to see it, say it out loud, and start moving like it is possible.

Being a wife for 14 years it is beyond me the things girlfriends do. But See the thing is people ask for things they can’t even give to themselves and have the nerve to be picky. Sir, you eat cereal for dinner and you’re mad because she can’t make the softest most fluffiest bread….. come on. And women get stuck and start thinking they’re not worth a damn because you let this man dictate your worth NO! You dont get to let somebody who has not poured into himself make you question your worth.

At first, it feels good.

You think…he drove across town because he couldn’t sleep without me. He brought me flowers because he knows he hurt me. He came back because he loves me too much to let me go.And a part of you likes being fought for, a part of you thinks the jealousy means you matter.

You start calling the highs and lows passion because it sounds better than admitting you only feel deeply loved after you been deeply hurt. But eventually you get tired of needing a grand gesture to make up for a conversation that should have happened the first time.

You start wanting the kind of love that does not make you anxious before it makes you feel adored. The kind where “I’m sorry” is not the most consistent thing you receive.

I tell Journee, Focus on what’s ahead of you. Don’t look down at where you want to stop. Not because the present moment doesn’t matter it does. But sometimes where you are feels so hard that all you can see is the place you want to give up. So be here. Take it in. But keep your eyes on where you’re headed, too!!
