If you’ve ever been on set with him, you know Derek brings a distinct vision to every project and knows exactly how to bring it to life. His dedication to film is woven into everything he does. From amassing over half a billion views across 100+ music videos, to directing and writing scripts for many of our clients, he is constantly elevating our work.

But beyond his impressive resume, it’s his personality that makes him so special. Originally from New York and now thriving in LA, he’s a guy of many talents, including being a nationally ranked snowboarder in his teens and a reliable dog-sitter.

At Maven, we pour everything into creating compelling stories because we know how much our own story defines us. Ours is a story of detours, career pivots, and the wild ride of building a family and a business at the same time, all to get back to the creative work we were meant to do.

Taking that leap wasn’t easy. We know a lot of you understand that feeling. That’s why we’re building a culture rooted in community. From the studio to the set, we are here to support one another, whether you’re a client, crew member, talent, or friend. We are all in this together.
