Let your NOs be as loud as your YESes

“Yea, I’m okay”. “I’m good”.

That’s what you say to people so that they don’t pry. So that you don’t seem as though you can’t handle what you’re facing. Because you think/feel/know that you’re strong enough to do it all.

But are you?

At what point did we decide that being “strong” or “unbreakable” Is equivalent to being successful? Who deemed it a crime to say “I need help with ____”? Be strong, but know when to bend and When to give yourself some slack. And know when to ask for support.

Don’t let anyone fool you into thinking success is achieved in solitude. The strongest infrastructures are comprised of a myriad of smaller systems contributing to the whole. Speak up, speak out. Tell your people how you’re really feeling and what you need. If you’re lucky enough to have found your true people, they might already know what it is you need. ✨
