It's , and awareness starts with knowing what to look for! 🧐
Cerebral/Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI) is a brain-based blindness that can can affect vision in ways that aren’t always easy to recognize. Some signs can be subtle, inconsistent, or easy to chalk up to something else. That’s part of why CVI can go unrecognized for so long. 👀
If you notice a pattern in how someone accesses their visual environment, it’s worth asking why. And remember: CVI is brain-based, so a typical eye exam may not tell the whole story.
Trust your gut. Keep asking questions. And know that it’s never too late to pursue a CVI diagnosis!
