1. Starting a business of any sort there's never certainty what kind of race it will be, it's better to prepare for a marathon even when you think it'll be a 40-yard dash.

2. Solve a problem; Big or small solve and people will come to use your solution.

3. Understand your target audience; Through trial and error you will find your target audience and the content they enjoy.

4. Know you won't get it right the first time; the one above describes it all but I'll say it again, The method of trial and error is okay! You don't have to get it right the first time (those are usually one-hit wonders)

5. Ensure their is a demand for the product; If there isn't try and create one, someone else eventually will.
