I love to travel.

But , especially as a wheelchair user is more...involved. See that narrow black seat? That's an aisle chair. I sit on this and get pulled backwards to my seat. It does not feel comfortable.

Once I am in my seat, I just have to hope to all hopes that my wheelchair or my walker make it back to me in one piece.

I love the pool. Swimming is one of my favorite exercises, but also, it's one of the few places I can "walk" without my mobility aids

Today is National Day of Kindness.

Listen, it can be hard. So many of us are faced with all types of -isms and -phobias. And if you are like me and sit at an intersection of marginalizations, it can feel like "kind" doesn't find you.

Today, and everyday, try a little kindness. Sometimes, it's as simple as saying "hello".

Hey! Did you remember to turn you clocks back? Daylight Savings Time ends today and we lose an hour of sleep 🥲.

It's not just about sleep. For many disabled people that means "re-calibrating" medication and other important tasks that are time-sensitive.

While I was out in DC, as the Chosen Ambassador, I had a chance to meet with the incomperable Delores Huerta.

Dolores Huerta is a labor leader and civil rights activist who, co-founded the National Farmworkers Assocation alongside Cesar Chavez. The National Farmworkers Assoc. later merged with the Agricultural Workers Organizing Committee (AWOC) to become what we know of today, the United Farm Workers.

I was in the presence of greatness!
