We are devastated by the news that our dear friend and love, Dra. Aliza Lifsh*tz, has passed. We were immensely fortunate to have worked with her and become friends. A gift from the Gods, she not only brightened our lives with grace and humor, she improved and empowered friends, family and people she never met. She always gave her time fully for the community. She was an example of the best among us in every sense. Whether teaching about health as Univision's network health reporter -- or via her website Vida y Salud -- or sharing a laugh at dinner, her legacy of compassion, justice and love was something you could feel in your bones and always touched our hearts. Descansa en paz, nuesta querida; luchaste y amaste valientemente y te llevamos en el corazón.

Some of you are aware, but we decided to close Latino Consultants this past year to take on new adventures. It is with some sadness, but mostly joy and pride at a body of work that has had a singular vision of serving our communities with organizations that have like-minded values. Who would have thought that, when our Founder & Managing Partner launched the company in 1995, we would be invited to two U.S. President’s inaugurations, have created the nation’s first bilingual health resource app, created initiatives that educated thousands on how to achieve better health and, indeed, better lives? Well, Sara Elena probably did. Passionate, visionary, driven, and compassionate are adjectives that start the list. Our staff and vendors called ourselves “LC Familia” and we were. And so many clients are now dear friends! We and our consultants will accept opportunities as individuals now as we hand the torch to a new generation. We thank everyone for taking us on this journey – because of you, we changed people’s lives for the better and that, in turn, has made us all the better. Saludos y cuidate. Abrazos y besos.
