Let’s talk about self love.

For many of us it’s so hard to find the line between self love and selfishness. We’ve been trained to believe that focus on ourselves is wrong. But what if “falling in love” with ourselves means to really love ALL the parts of of ourselves? Even the hard pieces?

When we fall in love with another we can so easily reflect back for them that their tender and hard parts are safe with us. That we love them just as they are. This doesn’t exempt them from growth or accountability so why would falling in love with ourselves be any different? Instead it allows us to more deeply love, trust and open to others. And to the fullness of life.

Love all those tender and difficult parts of you today. Just like a starry eyed lover would. It is your first step to healing. I promise. ❤️

Early Morning Magic!

My heart is illuminated as it mirrors the lights twinkling in this breathtakingly beautiful city. I walk. I turn. I see magic in each moment.

Likewise, in each moment, joy and solitude are both my companions. It is a poignant journey to be alone in a romantic place when life holds both love and loss. It teaches you tenderness for yourself.

Open you heart to what is with you right now. Whether joy or grief it will be your companion for it’s needed time.

Waking up to greet the day is always a gift to me. Especially in a new place. I will be teaching here, but still, I have not traveled solo for a long time. I had to fight back that little voice that asked me “Is this adventure for me?”

As I look out my window, I pause. As I drink my coffee, I pause. As I dress from head to toe for the cold and snowy Prague weather, I smile.

Our adventures are always for us. Until they are not. And , not fear, will tell me when that is.

And good friends. Good and wise friends.
