Yesterday was a wonderful day of celebrating Black businesses, building connections, and creating opportunities for growth and lasting impact!

I attended the Black Business Association’s 4th Annual Black Business Day Expo. Congratulations and thank you to Sarah Harris, President and CEO of the BBA, for your vision and leadership. There were four great breakout sessions, and my favorite was “Future Ready: Winning in the Innovation Economy.”

As National Black Business Month comes to a close, let’s continue to be intentional about supporting Black-owned businesses—today, tomorrow, and always!

And today is Worship Day! I’m grateful. 🙌🏽🙏🏽

August is Black Business Month—a wonderful time to support Black-owned businesses and shop with purpose.

As we close out National Black Business Month, I celebrate more than 40 years of entrepreneurship, service and empowering others.

Today, I continue that journey through:

I had two wonderful days at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). 🙂

First I experienced Golden Hour with the Lula Washington Dance Theatre at the new David Geffen Galleries. The performance was amazing!

The dancers delivered such an interesting and creative performance that kept the audience engaged and inspired.

It was also wonderful to see LACMA showcasing Black art, culture, and creativity throughout the galleries. ❤️

Second, I returned for Metro Art: Todd Gray’s Histories in the Plural. It was a wonderful conversation centered around his artwork and artistic vision. We also took the METRO to the Wilshire/La Cienega Station in Beverly Hills to experience his METRO station artwork in person.

As a special touch, attendees received a specially designed art-inspired METRO card for traveling.

What a beautiful weekend of art, culture, movement, and inspiration. 🙂
