What’s the best way any contract could utilize their time?
Some clients prefer to order with a larger supplier over a $20 difference in savings. We strive to give the public our best rate possible.

The integrity of our business is important to us. Or we wouldn’t stay in business this long. It’s very important to get ready mix concrete to a job site on time. It’s our mojo. Takes what ever it takes.

Have we had fails…… over things we can’t control ? Yes, we’re human. Over traffic, over a prior delayed site that was unprepared , over incorrect measurements by the contractor , over city construction blocking lanes, etc. Some things are uncontrolled.

However, we set up a time with you. It is our duty to get your material to the site on time. You’re not going to get your concrete at the end of the day or in the evening or the following day. The time you give us, is the time we coordinate with our client and we make sure that we cover the subject from all angles. Is a pump ? We have that , too. We’re gonna check our trucks the night before to make sure we’re ready for our client . We’re not going to let a contractor sit till late at night without their contractor.

Who doesn’t want to be barefoot, in the kitchen, and with their kids ? Men have always been needed in a home and made as a leader. Women would love a man that pays the bills and comes home hot diners and their family. What women doesn’t want that ?

But, if there’s not enough rich men yo sustain a home, we’re forced to ho to work. Who’s gonna pay the bills?

This is goes out to the men in the construction sector. So many responses over not saying “Phillips screw “ a few videos back. Some informants saying,”Let a man handle it.”. By all means, yes. If that was the case. But, if a contractor wants to charge $14,000 for a 9’x13’ sleeper floor over $125 worth of materials…….guess what, I finished it before he did. Did the earth halt ? No, no it didn’t. Let’s keep going. Let’s build more houses.

It’s import to build a good team. But, life has rocks, things happen. But, everyone one of us, figure things out. It’s called,
” Grab the bull by its horns. Gos knows before we do.”

Laugh a little, it feeds the soul. Not everything is straight. 😉

This is a sequel to my sleeper floor video, posted yesterday. It seems to move earth, ocean, fire. Just because I am a female, I was building a sleeper floor, and I didn’t use the term”Phillips screws”. It made me laugh, I forever have used the term, “ flat head cross screws for wood”, right. I never say , “Henry F. Phillips “. This caused for the men in the construction industry quite responsive.

So, I decided to respond to the few that gave me negative feedback. 😜

What can I tell them…..
Sure, I wish I was in the kitchen…….
But, I’m not and I honestly believe that most females would love to be in the kitchen. But, are there rich men that are gonna pay your bills. Probably far and few, right. 🤑 🙉

I’ve been in the realm of property for as long as I can remember. I’m older. I don’t want to be picking up a hammer or a drill. I give the orders and collect the gains. But, if I need to step in because Mike the drywall guy had too much to drink last night…….😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣💥……..I’m not gonna wait. I have to get stuff finished. Or, Juanito, says his wife’s car broke down (they all use the same line). Obviously, stuff still needs to move forward.

A sleeper floor that’s quoted at $14,000 , 9’x13’…….
Mmmmm, no. Not gonna happen in Texas. Who are you telling the joke to……old lady trade ?

For all the positive inspirational feedback , thank you.
Love ya’ll. If you care to know more about this industry, like and share.

Nightmare share.
I’m working on a remodel and decided to raise the floor by creating a sleeper floor. So, I go to make adjustments, double check my height and I come across the worst screw situation.
Is this just me or others are going through this type of meltdown?

No more cross head screws, unless they’re pan screws.
In this case , I was looking for cross flat head wood screws. Make my life easier , please. Can I just get flat head wood cross screws ?

Please, Santa, bring back the cross head screws.

No, not HomeDepot because they don’t have them.
Anyone ?

I moved to San Antonio , Texas. It’s a great location to raise a family. What you would pay normally in Los Angeles for $500,000 is a condo or townhouse. Yah well, that buys you a whole house in San Antonio, Texas.

Sonia Melendez ● Real Estate Agent

Looking for a cookie cutter community home. They’re here, too. For about $250,000, you can get a 3+2 , new home.

Be open to the idea. I visited Texas many times before opting for this choice. What ultimately pushed me was the ground rent for our horses 🐴 in Agua Dulce, CA. I was paying a pretty penny for our horses to be stalled and I wasn’t happy with the Common Core program at schools, etc, etc.

So, some things made better sense in considering Texas to balance things out. I will share that the life style here is slower. People here are more family based and I also learned that a large percentage of families have some form of religious faith. Texas is just different. The beach is farther away, we need to drive 2 hours to the coast. So, we make it a weekend trip. Before, in Los Angeles, I was 26 minutes away from the beach. It takes time to adapt to new places, however, so glad to have taken the leap.

Now, my daughters feel happier, here. We always visit
Los Angeles, as we still have immediate family residing there. But, we’re always ready to head back home. Let me add…..

The education at USC would have cost our pockets 2 times more expensive vs. the same education at a private university in Texas, if you’re a resident, here. Big savings, folks.

I still operate business in both states. Some jobs are remote and it doesn’t matter what state you live in.

Yes, there’s Amazon , Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Walmarts, Starbucks…..most everything.

If you’re considering the move, call Sonia Melendez directly. She’s my realtor for all transactions. I highly recommend her expertise. She’s honest , covers the San Antonio, Texas area and will fight for the best of your interest. (210) 454-7225

If I can answer any questions…….enter them below and I’ll respond to any concerns that you may have for a step like this.

Yes, it can be done. When a lazy maintenance man doesn’t want to finish the nick-nacks and you don’t hire him any more. However, will stretch the hand immediately to be paid.

Whooow, do I have stories of experiences that I’ve gone through with repair men / maintenance guys. Building a team is a little difficult. While you’re ready to do your floors, your usual floor guy may be busy with a different client. So, in order to keep going, it’s best to always have another working hand for back up. Or, wait till your floor guy is back. Only 2 options and waiting for the usual guy, may not be a bad idea. 🤣

However, there’s so many fly by night maintenance men that work on the daily and don’t really care to give excellent service. Which is unfortunate, we’re always looking for good people and people that do honestly want to work. Some of the daily’s will always have a good line, such as, “I’ve worked for KB homes or Perry Homes or Lennar homes. I’m experienced in everything.” To make themselves look good and important. This is common.

Some will pick and choose what jobs they want to do. To make a quick buck for the day and not be bothered with complicated intricate tasks. They just want to make $1,000 to bend a hinge and straighten the door and puff 💨, gone.

So, today, I get a baseboard guy to put in my baseboards, not hard , right. I really should’ve done it myself and couldn’t with a hundred other things to do. Wanted to get one ☝️ more step ahead.

A) find the guy is lying about my scraps on floor board excess
B) didn’t want to caulk the top of the baseboards
C) chooses his tasks and plays a silent ear to other subjects
D) Doesn’t want to finish the nick-nacks for the task that he himself chose.

Will he be hired for any other jobs, again or referrals ? What you think? 😆

Yes, this page and business is operated by a 58 year old female.

Listen to this donkey farce.
There’s 2 clips , here. This is a concrete ready mix supplier out in Dallas. Monica Macias
She shares her experience in this industry.

I would’ve done the same, charge at the time the truck arrives.
As soon as the truck arrived onsite, payment is due. No excuses and we don’t accept checks.

To inform the public, a driver doesn’t load the material. It’s done digitally at a cement plant with a computer & silo. The computers load and release the material into the cement trucks. It mixes on the way to the job site. If you train your drivers properly…… there is no problem with dry , or over processed, or insufficient anything. The plant releases a ticket with the content in the load. To inform commercial officers at any revision. Or to inform large contractors what’s in the mix. Therefore, there is no reason why the concrete can’t be paid prior to the drop. The truck is at the site on point.

It’s gotta be a sure shot to get that concrete to the site “on time”. We have 2 hour windows. This assures that your concrete is fresh and ready to set with the right recipe. If the truck is onsite….. why wouldn’t anyone pay ? What’s she going to do, eat it ? Silly. Yes, it needs to be paid before you drop it.

If you listen carefully, he says that he pays $80.
Who believes this donkey farce ?

In Texas, the material is a bit lower than Los Angeles, CA .
The labor is a bit lower, as well, due to the cost of living.
But, for $80 ……yah, no. Wouldn’t even cover the diesel. Much less the insurance and the cost of the driver’s salary. Not to add that these trucks forever need constant maintenance.
