Our Mission

The Child Development Consortium of Los Angeles is dedicated to providing and supporting programs that offer high quality early education programs to children birth to five, regardless of socioeconomic status; increasing the professionalism of those who work in the child development field; and working with professionals in other fields to increase the level of understanding and suppor

t for child care and early education programs. We provide direct early care and education services, consulting services to corporations and other child development programs, and parent education. We are funded by parent fees, in-kind services from the County of Los Angeles, and CalTrans, private foundation grants and contracts with the California Department of Education. Currently, CDCLA operates 10 child care centers throughout the greater Los Angeles area and we work with a network of family child care homes.

As a company, we always strive to do the best we can and we recently received recognition of this. This letter was delivered to us from the mayor's office and is directed towards our push to help those entering into the work force either for the first time or for those who chose to enter the field of early childhood development.

We believe with the statement from this letter that "early childhood education is critical to learning, and it's benefits reach far beyond to better outcomes in school and higher graduation rates".
