Okay okay, I’m kidding about the coke obviously, don’t do it, it’s not a nice thing. And let’s lay off the plastics and the fast fashion too while we’re at it.

When it comes to the AI convo, I’m literally out on stages almost every week teaching cult brand strategies for creatives + founders, and in that education I’m teaching the AI tools that can make a massive difference in your business.

I also recognize that 40-50k of you found my account a few years ago when I was teaching ChatGPT strategies and I still stand by using these tools as a CO-CEO to help navigate. (I love for day to day and the connectors are insane and I use as a creator and am obsessed with what it can do).

I recognize the contradiction here.

I suppose what I’m saying is that never forget: YOU are the magic. And you can’t outsource that.

Being able to express your mythology, owning your lore, having a real f’n POV, standing for something, presenting things in a way that only you can do it, that’s one of one stuff.

Don’t over optimize so much that you sanitize all of that juicy stuff out of your story.

I know it’s pretty… but let’s step away from the templated quiet luxe palette and that same high-contrast serif with a lowercase wordmark.

The clean, elevated, minimal era had a good run.

But my goodness, if the world is going to keep worlding, let’s at least have some fun in our brand design!

When brands like , & launched (all within a 36 month window of each other) they were the originals.

They weren’t out there copying each other — they all independently reached for the same shorthand for “trustworthy, premium, modern” at just about the same time.

But the million brands that followed the template? Well, they stepped right into what I call “Blank Brand Syndrome”.

It’s what happens when an entire industry agrees on what expensive looks like at the same time — and then the signal stops working.

The brands breaking out next will all have one thing in common: a mark of a human hand. A texture. An imperfection. Something that couldn’t have been generated.
And of course, this will be the moment until we reach saturation point.

We started working on the design for well over a year ago. We looked at vintage surf reports, handwritten post cards from island vacays, and signatures on the check from après-beach cocktails at the club.

The people that get us, really get us. ☀️⛱️

Do the logo cover test on your own brand. Pull up your grid. Cover your name. Could this be anyone in your space?

But fr, what if we actually cheered our people on when we see them actually showing up trying? Putting yourself out there is scary!

I’m personally an OG internet girlie, I was a fashion & travel blogger circa 2011, and if I had the courage to put that stuff out back in the olden days, nothings taking me out now. 🧚

What if we all got back to having fun being ourselves and got over this need to perform some version of ourselves we think people want?

I have a feeling we’ll be seeing more artists showing up the Bieber at Coachella way. I loved the whole thing. The laptop. The tears. The kid from YouTube singing to himself on the biggest stage of his life. 🫶🏻

Your fear of being a lil cringe on the internet is suppressing your inner genius. Here’s some reframing and reflection that may help you show up a little bit more for yourself today. 🕊️

Visibility is one of the biggest challenges for creatives and entrepreneurs, and it’s a conversation that comes up time and time again in this community.

Even the most talented creators feel it.

It’s not just about being seen—it’s about being vulnerable and pushing past those inner voices that keep you playing small.

But here’s what I’ve noticed: when we feel that fear of visibility, we start making excuses—blaming the algorithm, the logistics of posting, too many ideas, not enough ideas... you name it, we’ve all used it as a reason to hold back.

Visibility is about showing up consistently—for your audience, your business, and yourself. But it’s so much more than simply being seen online; it’s about allowing yourself to be seen authentically, as you really are.

And here’s where it gets tricky: The fear of visibility can show up as perfectionism—endlessly tweaking content because it’s “not quite ready” or waiting for the “perfect moment” to post.

It can also be experienced as avoidance—feeling overwhelmed by the idea of being out there and opting out of visibility altogether.

It’s been two years since this day 🤍
And a million lifetimes that has been my one ✨

Celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversary today apart, because OOO entrepreneur life and musician life is sometimes like that but we’ll celebrate together sooooon. 🥹

Having a partner that knows you and your big dreams and believes with full certainty that there’s always something bigger for you and encourages you to pursue it…

In a world where ambitions can sometimes create challenges—having a partner who truly sees you and supports you, well that’s it for me.

The relationship you have with yourself creates the path for every other relationship in your life. And while our marriage is only 2 years in the books, in the nearly 10 years we’ve spent together we’ve both deepened our own connection to self along the way.

I love you … love being your biggest fan, and having you as mine. 🤍🫶🏼💐🕊️
