With artist running an art workshop at for people who have or are experiencing homelessness. Homelessness is a crisis here in Los Angeles as it is in many cities across the United States. To many in the difficult circumstance of experiencing homelessness, art is a reprieve from survival mode in the streets and a pathway to reawaken the dreams which are part of our humanity.

The People Concern is one of the largest social services organizations here empowering the most vulnerable to rebuild their lives.

Completed Sahuayo Sister City Mural by , , and .art. Thank you, Damin, for letting me involved in this one.

This mural was a collaboration between artists connected to thee sister cities of Santa Ana, California and Sahuayo, Michoacán, Mexico. The image features two sisters surrounded by toys and drawings that represent the heritage and traditions of each city.

“This mural is more than a work of art. It’s a vibrant symbol of friendship, cultural exchange, and our shared commitment to building a brighter future together,” said Santa Ana Mayor Valerie Amezcua. Sahuayo Mayor Manuel Gálvez Sánchez said, “This mural was born from the heart of two towns that, although separated by miles, are united by something stronger than distance: family, culture, and shared dreams.”

Congratulations to on being selected by the City of San Francisco as a finalist for the Chinatown Public Health Center mural! Dave’s proposal is now up for public comment on the SFAC website thru Dec 22.

‘ United in heart and journey (同心同行)‘ is inspired by research and interviews of members of the greater Chinatown community. The design reflects the longstanding intergenerational care characteristic of Chinatown’s community since its founding in the late 1940’s. As the oldest Chinatown in North America, San Francisco Chinatown has persevered through a number of crises and injustices largely due to advocacy from within the community, often by one generation on behalf of another.

The design depicts people of different eras and ages linked by the arms through time step forward in unity, sharing a common journey and spirit. The multigenerational flock of red crowned cranes flying overhead symbolize the longevity of the community and also serve as a wayfinding device to the entrance.

Congratulations to , , , and Miguel Ángel Sánchez Amezcua on being awarded the Sahuayo Sister City Mural by the !

This collaborative work by the artists celebrates the sister city relationship between Santa Ana and Sahuayo, Mexico, which began in October 2022.

The unveiling of the finished mural will be Saturday, November 15 at Plaza Calle Cuatro in downtown Santa Ana. The event will feature performance and the mayors of both sister cities.

‘Thin Spaces’ by .la is opening in London on June 15 at ! The art duo’s latest solo exhibition features a new body of work, including their largest painting on canvas to date.

Through 7 oil paintings and 12 drawings, Giorgiko explore and contemplate the nature of mystical “thin places” where the space between the physical and spiritual realms is much closer. While many consider ‘thin places’ to be fixed places in space, are they in fact places in time and trials where the eternal is closer than ever?

.la’s solo exhibition, ‘The Seed of Peace’ opens on April 25th at in Hong Kong in partnership with !

This will be Giorgiko’s debut solo in Asia! Super-excited to see it, as it has been in the works since before the pandemic.

‘The Seed of Peace’ features Giorgiko’s most contemplative body of work yet with 25 oil paintings and ink drawings that explore different angles in the humankind’s search for peace and that draw from the sacred story of a self-sacrificing Messiah to bring peace to many near and afar.
