The Journey I Almost Didn’t Start
I was still working security and preparing for maternity leave when I discovered an online business that would become part of a much bigger story…
At the time, everything seemed to happen at once.
I was worried about my finances, grieving loved ones during COVID, and quietly carrying personal battles that I wasn’t ready to talk about.
Honestly, I was skeptical. I didn’t know if the business was real, if I could do it, or if this was the right time to begin something new.
And my journey wasn’t perfect.
I joined, disappeared, came back, and disappeared again. But even when I wasn’t actively building, I was watching.
I watched mothers, nurses, security guards, and hardworking women with real responsibilities learn new skills and create more options for their families. Their stories reminded me that I wasn’t the only woman trying to build while life was happening.
Little by little, that community helped me believe in myself again.
Today, I can build through Wi-Fi and a phone or computer while being present with my children—even from Kenya. Alhamdulillah, I’m grateful I didn’t allow fear to close a door before I understood what was behind it.
This isn’t an overnight-success story.
It’s the story of a woman who kept coming back—even when life gave her every reason to stop.
Maybe someone reading this needs to know that starting imperfectly is still starting.
Curious about the opportunity that became part of my story?
