For some lucky people winning the lottery means winning something fun. Well, this house won the stinging bugs with wings lottery...which unfortunately isn't as good.

They had 8 separate nests! Three aerial yellow jacket nests, one bald-faced hornet nest, one wall void yellow jacket nest, two ground yellow jacket nests, and one paper wasp nest to top it off. That's a lot of stingers!

It took a couple hours to accomplish, but all the nests were successfully treated, and no one got stung! If you have an unwanted yellow jacket nest...or eight...give Milltown a call to have it taken care of safely!

If you haven't walked under your deck in a while make sure you take a look up next time, or you may be walking into some serious pain! Yellow jackets love to use decks because they provide great protection from the elements and potential predators.

YELLOW JACKETS!!

Their nests are well underway at this point. The yellow jackets are well protected by multiple layers of paper shell on an aerial nest. Ground nests and wall cavity nests are very well protected, often times located multiple feet away from the entry point visible to you. Attempting to spray a nest on your own will typically end up with a few dead one's that were exposed...and then a lot of really angry guys that were protected by the nest during the spraying!

Got carpenter bees? 🐝

They commonly target unpainted or unstained wood on homes. Often times the backside of the trim board on houses isn't painted. This is why they are normally seen buzzing around the edges of roof lines and peaks. They carve out deep tunnels, called galleries, to lay their eggs inside the wood and are quite destructive if left unchecked.
