💧 NORTH DAKOTA LIVESTOCK PRODUCERS — DROUGHT WATER ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE! 🐄
If you’re in an eligible county and have been dealing with livestock water shortages caused by drought, the Drought Disaster Livestock Water Supply Assistance Program may be able to help.
Eligible producers may receive up to 65% cost-share assistance, up to $10,000 per project, for approved livestock water supply projects.
Projects may include:
✔️ New water wells
✔️ Rural water system connections
✔️ Pipeline extensions
✔️ Pasture taps
✔️ Associated labor, materials & equipment rentals
✔️ Other new livestock water supply projects
At Lunneborg Legacy Excavation, we can help with the work needed to get your project completed, including waterlines, pasture taps, rural water connections, hydrants, trenching, excavation and backfill. We can also provide a project estimate for your application.
📋 To apply, producers need to submit:
• A cost-share assistance application
• A map and/or aerial photo showing the proposed project
• An estimate of project costs
⚠️ Important: Labor and materials must be purchased on or after August 18, 2026, to be eligible for reimbursement. Funding is limited, and priority is based on the date applications are received.
Not sure if your county or project qualifies? Check the information from the ND Department of Water Resources or give us a call. We’d be happy to discuss your project and help you get an estimate started.
