Sunday at the Fair gave me a little perspective on the kind of impact one person can have.

Watching people stop to talk with Billy (a very talented musician!), share stories, and thank him for things he’d done over the years was pretty powerful.

Sometimes you don’t really see a person’s reach until you see it reflected back through other people.

I’ve been coming to the fair my whole life, and somehow it still brings out the kid in me.

Maybe part of getting older is remembering not to become so serious that we forget how to have fun.

Yesterday was loud, crowded, a little ridiculous — and exactly what I needed.

Some people teach more than the class they’re standing in front of.

A couple weeks ago, I had the chance to learn from Santa Jeff McMullen — Hall of Fame Santa, gifted teacher, and just a genuinely good person.

I’m grateful for the people who are willing to share what they’ve learned and help the rest of us get better along the way.

Lately, I’m beginning to think there isn’t an arrival point. We just keep learning what fits, what doesn’t, what matters—and hopefully get a little more comfortable being ourselves along the way.
