Based in Mc Connellsburg, Pennsylvania, Derek and wife Heather have two girls. Derek's interest in trees began early on in life when his father had a logging business. He would tag along and grew up with a chainsaw in hand. After his father's company dissolved, they continued to work together doing residential jobs in the tree industry, until Derek decided to pursue his dream of starting his own tree service business.
