If you've been around for a while, you probably know I've always had a thing for design.
The Design Barn has been my side hustle for years. I started messing around with graphic design back in high school, and over the last seven or so years I've been diving headfirst into the printing and promotional products world. I've spent countless hours learning, asking questions, making mistakes, ordering samples, and figuring out what products are actually worth putting my name behind.
And honestly... I'm still learning. I hope I always will.
But life has a funny way of opening doors, and it's led me into a new season. So I'm excited to finally say that I'm taking The Design Barn full time.
If there's one thing I've learned over the years, it's that this business isn't really about ink, t-shirts, or coffee mugs. It's about people. It's about helping a local business hand a customer a business card they're proud of. It's about helping a church create shirts for a mission trip, a school celebrate its students, or a nonprofit stretch every dollar while still getting something they'll be proud to hand out.
Could you order all of that online? Absolutely. Sometimes you might even save a few bucks.
But here's what you don't get online...
You don't get someone who's spent hours comparing brands to figure out which tumbler actually keeps your coffee hot, which shirt doesn't feel like cardboard after one wash, or which pen people will actually keep instead of throwing away. You don't get someone who's willing to tell you not to buy that one.
That's where I hope I bring value.
When you work with me, you're not just placing an order. You're getting someone who cares about how your brand is represented because my reputation is attached to every project that I work on.
I love this community. It's home. And I'd much rather build relationships than transactions.
