The 2nd Wednesday in May is Third Shift Workers Day so we wanted to take a moment today to spotlight our dedicated 3rd shift team who protect those critical late night and early morning calls for funeral directors. Our overnight employees help ensure funeral directors get the rest they need and families always receive a compassionate and professional response no matter what time they call. We are grateful for their dedication to helping ASD provide the highest level of service.

“I was a daddy’s girl, and so it allowed me to give him what he needed."

An 11-year-old girl has raised enough money to buy a headstone for her late father by setting up a lemonade stand. Kaylee Hernandez, from Lubbock, Texas, raised nearly $3,000 as part of Lemonade Day. Her father, Ricky, died almost two years ago at age 51 from throat cancer.

Happy Mother’s Day to ASD Founder, Barbara Czachor, her daughter and ASD Treasurer, Kathy Kelley, and now ASD’s third generation mom, Melissa McNamara — Kathy’s daughter, Barbara’s granddaughter, ASD Financial Planning Analyst, and proud mom to baby Ryder! This year is especially meaningful as Melissa officially joins our ASD “mom club,” continuing the legacy of strong, compassionate women who help shape both their families and the ASD family every single day. Barbara, Kathy, and Melissa each bring kindness, encouragement, guidance, and so much heart to everyone around them. Great mothers often make great leaders and that is truly exemplified by these three women. We are incredibly grateful for the love and leadership they share with our team and beyond.
