Celebrating the Givens Executive Leadership Institute Class of 2025–2026 this week was a full-circle moment. This group didn’t just participate—they engaged, stretched, and pushed themselves to grow into stronger leaders for their organizations and the Grenada community.

I had the opportunity to work with them at the very start, facilitating their opening retreat and strategic planning session. From day one, they brought authenticity, insight, and a willingness to do the real work—and it showed every step of the way.

Now, seeing them standing together—more aligned, more confident, and more intentional—says everything.

This evening, I had the opportunity to celebrate the graduation of the Givens Executive Leadership Institute Class of 2025–2026—a group of leaders who showed up, leaned in, and committed to becoming better for their teams, their organizations, and their community.

From the very beginning, I had the privilege of facilitating their opening retreat and even then, it was clear this group was special. The energy, the honesty in conversations, and the willingness to challenge themselves set the tone for everything that followed.

To see them now—confident, connected, and walking in purpose—reminds me why this work matters.

Today we successfully completed Session 1 of the Tunica County Leadership Academy (a program for Department Heads of Tunica County Government)— the first program of its kind in the State of Mississippi.

Leaders from across Tunica County came together to collaborate, problem-solve, and strengthen the teamwork that drives effective public service. The energy, creativity, and commitment in the room made it clear that great things are ahead for Tunica County.
