My mood last Monday went like this: sadness because I was triggered by grief, overwhelmed by work and outside responsibilities, irritated with the to do list that wouldn’t stop
growing, I was getting so far from myself I felt physically sick from it all!

Ok you get the picture rough with a capital R

I had to pull out all the coping skills from therapy 😭😭😭. I know I’m not the only Girlfriend on my timeline who has lived through this or this might be you today, so I want to share how I made it through that week!

1. I leaned into my support circle! I let them know how I was feeling so I didn’t have to go through it alone. Don’t have one?! We’re here Girlfriend!

2. I asked God what is it in this moment that he knows about me that I’ve forgotten? Fear and Insecurities had gotten loud and I needed a reminder of who and whose I was!

3. I journaled!

4. Went back and checked my self-care plan to see if I needed to change or add to it!

Will this be the last time I feel this way?! Probably not, but you can bet that I’m glad I’ve got some coping tools to pull out if I need!

Yours may be totally different and that’s ok!

To All The Pretty Girls Around The World….

Good morning world changer,

I see you out there breaking generational curses and being the salt of the earth. I know sometimes you get overwhelmed, but look at you taking a deep breath and charging ahead. I hope you remember, when things are tough, that you’re not out here by yourself.

There’s a few of us trying to bring heaven to Earth, but we had to survive hell first. Today the mission isn’t to come off as tough. Today the mission is to remember where true strength is birthed.

Your weakness + Jesus’ strength = the DNA of a champion. That means I’ll see you at the top, because you started from the bottom.
