On April 15, at our Girls Inc. of Memphis Celebration Luncheon, we will honor Shante K. Avant as our Woman of the Year.

As President and CEO of the Women's Foundation for a Greater Memphis, Shante has helped lead more than $39 million in investments into programs that support women and families across our city. Her leadership has positively impacted thousands each year, strengthening economic security and opportunity throughout Memphis.

In addition to her nonprofit leadership, Shante serves as Chairwoman of the Shelby County Commission, where she continues to advocate for education, equity, and community advancement. Her decades of service and commitment to meaningful change make her an inspiring and deserving honoree.
