The History Of Amongst Decay

In early 2019, drummer Andrew Gayster and guitarist Matt O'Neal were part of a project that lacked a vocalist, until they were later introduced to Roxy C. After a short time, a few members came and went, and the new and improved Amongst Decay lineup was formed. Things are back on track and Amongst Decay is excelling faster then ever with newest member Bill Bradley on guitar. Thus, a complete, throat-punching lineup driven to deliver some seriously brutal and obscure sounds for the world to enjoy was born. After all of our hard work and serious dedication our tunes will be released for everyone soon to enjoy and share with friends!

Meet The Members:

Andrew, with over 22 years of experience playing as well as live performances, he’s a drummer that you will not want to take your eyes off of. The desire to be different and the strict mentality to think outside the box gives this drummer the upper hand. Playing his drums like they owe him money, and landing parts that sound so beautifully brutal really earned him a spot in the game! Some past projects he has been in include 3 Wheel Drive, God Of Prey, Mechanized, Burn The Herd, and Excited Delirium. Andrew’s hard work an dedication allows him to flawlessly play and pump out new music like a machine! This guy is unstoppable an extremely eager to keep learning and perfecting his craft! Andrew is an original founding member of A.D and also the drummer for the internet based experimental metal band called Below Zero, with Roxy C as lead vocals.

Roxy, with over 12yrs of experience with live performances and familiar with recruiting to form and manage bands she is someone whose willingness and drive is as if a fire is constantly lit under her ass! With earth crushing tones and a unique sound like no other female in the game she constantly tries to better her craft by studying and practicing every second that she can. Roxy is a respected and decently well known vocalist from NJ who’s past bands include All Sanity Lost, Corrupted Mannerism, Restless Spirit, Hi I’M Victor, From Darkness To Decay, and current vocalist for a side project which is an internet based band called Below Zero. Roxy has taken the internet by surprise on YouTube with some of her most popular vocal covers one being by Whitechapel and others like Chelsea Grin and Shadow Of Intent! Roxy’s vocal cover of White Noise by Beyond Deviation was a hit and was advertised on a vocal reaction video by YouTube sensation Kardavox Academy hosted by Mark Garrett edition with Brand Of Sacrifice! Roxy is definitely a upcoming vocalist you don't wanna sleep on!

Matt, with over 16 yrs of experience playing guitars and familiar with live performances in his previous project Through Ashes under his belt, he is for sure a most talented musician and is constantly improving his skills allowing him to make a new name for himself in the music industry! With mixed metal influences he really brings a flavor to the band that we definitely find desirable and brutal! When it comes to writing material that is perfectly mixed of all popular styles he never fails. With the amount of open-mindedness and willingness he provides we really enjoy working with him and we are extremely excited to have him in the Amongst Decay family. Keep ya eyes peeled for this monster!

Bill with over 28 yrs of experience playing guitars as well as live performances in his past projects Morbid Bliss and Keres, he is an artist with a strong will and desire to create music and has fun while doing so! Bill has great character and with that comes great jokes as well as laughter! His hard work speaks volumes and when introduced to the bandmates through guitarist Matt, it was a match made in hell. Working with Bill has made the process of being in a project much more manageable and fun. Bill also provides work behind the scenes which includes raw recordings and mixes for A.D. Bill being well versed in different styles really allows us to bring random elements into our sound that we feel makes us stand out! Do not sleep on this shredding beast!

As you can see Amongst Decay is just a group of friends who really loves and enjoys making music. Together, they create things they never would have imagined they could achieve until they met and joined forces! It’s fair to say that this band will leave a mark on the modern day metal scene and attract listeners of all ages and styles. A.D will bring crushing live performances wherever they get the opportunity to play. Keep and eye out for new music dropping in 2020!

There are no rules in music because it’s supposed to be about freedom and expression.
