If bookings are down, it’s easy to think the answer is “out there somewhere” which sends you on a constant searching quest to find the solution. But the solution is actually right under your nose, in your data!
Look at 2 numbers, and let’s use 6 months as the timeframe:
1. Number of leads
2. Number of bookings
I.e., in the last 6 months, you received 42 leads and booked 5 of them. 5 / 42 = 12%
Based on your data:
If you’re booking 30-40%+ at your desired price point, hurray! Your sales process is working, so to increase bookings, your focus should be on more leads.
YOUR SOLUTION = MARKETING
If you’re booking less than 30% of leads at your desired price point, your sales process is costing you bookings and you should focus on fixing this before you add more leads. With a strong sales process, you have a dramatically higher chance of booking each inquiry
YOUR SOLUTION = SALES
I.e., if of those 42 leads, even just 30% booked, that’s 12 weddings vs 5…
If you don’t fix your sales process first, you’ll FEEL in-demand, but very few will book and you’ll be stuck in the same place, just with more admin work.
