There were so many incredible moments at the Maxwell Leadership Conference last week that I feel like I need the entire month to share them all!

But if I had to choose my greatest moment, my absolute #1 favorite moment it would be this one.

After John Maxwell finished our faith service, my book-signing and photo team was backstage waiting for him to come offstage so we could take our group picture. (The bright lights you see behind us were already set up and shining for the photos we were about to take).

And in that brief moment, I had the opportunity to look John in the eyes and tell him something that was on my heart:
“Thank you for bringing all of us to Jesus. I love you.”
In the most humble, loving, gracious way, John smiled and said,
“Isn’t that wonderful? This is why we do what we do!”

That sentence has stayed with me.

Here is a man whose leadership teachings have reached millions of people around the world. Yet when I thanked him for pointing people to Jesus, there was no conversation about accomplishments, influence, books, awards, or stages.

Just Jesus.

And perhaps that is one of the greatest leadership lessons John Maxwell has ever taught me:

Leadership may be the vehicle.
But Jesus is the mission. ❤️ 🙏🏽

That little backstage moment will forever be one of my most treasured memories from the August 2026 Maxwell Leadership Conference and from my entire Maxwell journey!

Sometimes a delay gives you exactly the time you need. ✈️📖

Yesterday, on my way home from Orlando after the Maxwell Leadership Conference, bad weather kept us sitting on the plane for about an hour before we could take off for Dallas.

So I pulled out a book my friend and fellow Maxwell Leadership coach Bill Goodwin wrote and gave me at the conference: Priority Living: Seven Pillars to Make Your Life Count.

I only made it through Chapter 1 and that was intentional. There was too much GOLD in it to rush through.

This is not a book you simply read and move on from.

It makes you stop, reflect and do the work.

The coaching questions at the end of the chapter challenged me to think deeply about how I’m living, what I’m prioritizing and whether those priorities are aligned with the life I truly want to live.

As a coach, I immediately thought: This is a resource I can use not only for my own growth but with the leaders and clients I serve.

If Chapter 1 is any indication of what’s ahead, Bill Goodwin you have created something special!

A resource for living more intentionally, growing continually, adding value to others and ultimately building a life of purpose and fewer regrets.

I’m not rushing through this one. I’m working through it.

Congratulations, my friend. I’m excited to see what the next six pillars uncover.

The Maxwell Leadership Conference is over and I’m ending it the same way I began with some quiet time, coffee and reflection out on the balcony. ☕📖✨
This morning, Leadership Promises for Every Day encouraged me to trust the promises God has placed over my life and the dreams He has planted in my heart.
I’m leaving Orlando grateful for everything I learned but inspiration alone isn’t enough.
Now it’s time to turn inspiration into ex*****on!
To believe bigger! Act intentionally! Do the work! And trust God with what comes next. 🙏🏽 ✨
The conference may be over but the journey and the work is just beginning!

Tonight, our TEA group “The Engagement Architect” family came together at IMC to celebrate connection, learning and the vision that brought us together. ❤️
Although our leader Tessa Kampen couldn’t be with us in person, we raised a toast in her honor and celebrated the impact she continues to make.
So grateful to be part of this incredible group of talented leadership trainers committed to creating highly engaging, experiential learning where participants don’t just attend a training, they walk away with an experience! 🥂✨

Learning from the best at the Maxwell Leadership Conference day #2 ! 💙

Today I had the privilege of learning from Valorie Burton.

She is the bestselling author of Successful Women Think Differently, founder and CEO of the Coaching and Positive Psychology Institute and one of Thinkers50’s 50 most influential executive coaches in the world.

She has appeared on the TODAY Show, CNN, and Dr. Oz, and serves as a coaching mentor within Maxwell Leadership.

I don’t take opportunities like this for granted. As a coach, I believe I must continually be coached, mentored, challenged and developed if I’m going to serve leaders and organizations at the highest level.

I invest in my growth so I can bring greater value, stronger tools, and better coaching to the leaders I have the privilege to serve.

Always learning. Always growing. Always bringing it back to my clients. ✨

Today we celebrated John C. Maxwell’s 50 years of leadership impact! Millions of lives changed, including mine. 💙
I’m deeply grateful to be part of the Maxwell Leadership legacy. But legacy isn’t something we leave for people, it’s something we leave in people.
That’s the responsibility I carry forward: to keep growing, keep serving, keep adding value and keep passing on what has been poured into me.
His legacy changed me. Now I’m committed to multiplying it through others. ✨

A quiet morning in Orlando before the Maxwell Leadership Conference begins. 🌿☕️📖

This is a glimpse into what it means to me to be a Maxwell Leadership Certified Coach, Trainer, and Speaker.

It’s not just attending conferences, earning certifications, or teaching leadership principles. It’s committing to remain a student of leadership myself.

Before I coach others, I grow.
Before I challenge others, I challenge myself.
Before I ask others to become better, I keep working on becoming better.

This morning, it’s just me and this peaceful view from the villa taking time to reflect and prepare for the days ahead.

The pre-conference experiences begin tomorrow and I’m ready to learn, be stretched, connect with leaders from around the world and bring what I learn back to the leaders and organizations I have the privilege of serving.

Because leadership development isn't something I teach.
It’s something I live. ❤️
