Episode 04: Skyhawk β€” The Jet That Proved Small Can Strike Big

πŸ“… June 22, 1954
The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk took to the skies for the first time β€” a tiny jet with a giant legacy.

πŸš€ Designed by Ed Heinemann to be so compact it could β€œfit on a postage stamp,” the Skyhawk was:

Carrier-ready with no folding wings

Capable of delivering nuclear weapons

Later used as a trainer, aggressor jet, and airshow performer

Beloved by navies and air forces from Argentina to Israel

Still flying today in private and military roles

πŸ•ŠοΈ Lightweight. Tough. Versatile. The A-4 proved you don’t need to be big to make an impact.

πŸ’¬ β€œAgile, deadly, and just right β€” the Skyhawk was built for action.”

πŸ‘‰ Follow weekly to meet the icons who shaped the sky.

✈️ New FAA Compliance Requirements for Certificate Holders with Overseas Addresses

πŸ“’ Attention: Pilots, Aircraft Owners, Aviation Businesses, Flight Schools & More

The FAA has introduced new compliance requirements under 14 CFR Part 3, Subpart C, mandating that all FAA Certificate holders with a permanent overseas address must appoint a U.S. Agent for Service.

πŸ›‘ Who Needs to Comply?

βœ… FAA-Certified Individuals (Pilots, Cabin Crew, Mechanics)
βœ… Aircraft Owners & Operators
βœ… Aviation Businesses
βœ… Flight Schools & Training Organizations

πŸ“œ Why is this Required?

A U.S. Agent for Service ensures timely delivery of official FAA correspondence, legal notices, emergency orders, and other critical communications. Non-compliance could put certifications at risk.

πŸ“… Compliance Deadlines

πŸ“Œ New Applicants: Must designate a U.S. Agent by April 2, 2025, to receive FAA certifications.
πŸ“Œ Existing Certificate Holders: Must comply by July 7, 2025, to maintain FAA certification.

πŸ’‘ How to Comply?
Ensure your compliance by designating a U.S. Agent for Service before the deadline. Stay ahead to avoid disruptions!
