& before the marketing girlies come for me with their โemail has the highest ROI of any marketing channelโ statistics ... yes. I know.
Email marketing works.
That does NOT mean email marketing works for every business.
Because hereโs the part conveniently left out of that conversation ...
- You need an audience worth emailing.
- You need a reason for them to open it.
- You need something worth saying consistently.
And ideally, you need an actual strategy for turning those emails into money.
If you have 83 people on your email list, haven't posted on social media in three weeks, your website barely gets traffic, and you're struggling to consistently generate leadsโฆ

I'd rather put your time + money into fixing the part of your marketing that's actually broken.
Build visibility.
Get people to your website.
Create a reason for them to give you their email address in the first place.
THEN we can talk about email.
There are absolutely businesses I recommend email marketing to ... e-commerce, memberships, repeat-purchase businesses, education, events, established service businesses with healthy lead pipelines, etc.
But I will NEVER recommend another marketing channel just because it's something else I can charge you to manage. Sometimes the best marketing strategy is knowing what NOT to spend money on.
And apparently that's a controversial business model. ๐
