Shomer Press Shomer Press
Keeper of Stories • Guardian of Light

A boutique publishing house founded by author & visionary AryrejinEl. Where light is preserved.

Shomer Press exists to champion storytellers, preserve imagination, and bring forth books that awaken wonder, healing, and truth. Welcome to Shomer Press — a home for the stories that guard us, shape us, and set us free. Founded by author and creative visionary AryrejinEl, Shomer Press was born from a deep conviction: that stories are living things, entrusted to us to keep, to tend, and to share. The Hebrew word שׁוֹמֵר (Shomer) means Keeper, Guardian, Watcher. It perfectly captures AryrejinEl’s lifelong calling as a storyteller who holds worlds within her — worlds of light, myth, healing, courage, and the sacred threads that connect us all. At Shomer Press, we believe:

🌿 Books are vessels of light
🌿 Stories are generational bridges
🌿 Every voice matters
🌿 Creativity is a form of guardianship
🌿 Publishing should be accessible, personal, and heart-centered

Shomer Press publishes:

📚 Fantasy & Mythic Storytelling
📚 Faith, Spiritual & Mystical Works
📚 Healing, Devotional, and Reflective Books
📚 Indie Authors who carry depth, purpose, and beauty

We also provide gentle author support for local and independent writers — helping new voices navigate the self-publishing process with clarity, integrity, and joy. Whether you are an author, a reader, or a dreamer,
you are welcome here in this constellation of keepers.

📖 Step into the worlds we are preserving.
📖 Discover the stories waiting to be born.
📖 Become a keeper, too. Shomer Press

The cover features original artwork by S.C. Schmidt of Magshimat Chalomot Studio, inspired by the beauty of sunrise over Lake Superior. Rich blues, glowing golds, warm coral skies, rocky shoreline, and reflected morning light are reimagined in a layered torn-paper and decoupage-inspired style.

Inside, this 6×9 journal includes a special cover-inspired coloring page along with lined pages for writing, reflection, prayer, planning, notes, memories, or everyday thoughts.

Created to feel like a small piece of art in your hands, Black Beach Sunrise makes a meaningful journal for nature lovers, Lake Superior admirers, travelers, writers, and anyone who finds peace near the water.

📚 BANNED BOOKS WEEK | OCTOBER 4–10 📚

If you’ve read Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451, you’ve encountered one author’s chilling vision of a world where books, literature and ideas are suppressed.

At Shomer Press -we’re pretty firmly pro-book. 😉

But perhaps even more than that, we’re pro-conversation.

We believe we could all spend a little more time reading, listening and learning from one another. We may not agree with every idea we encounter—and that’s okay. Sometimes listening long enough to understand another person reminds us that we have far more in common than we thought.

That’s one reason we’re giving a shout-out to Banned Books Week.

Banned Books Week began in 1982 in response to a surge in challenges to books in libraries, schools and bookstores. Today it brings together readers, librarians, educators, authors, publishers and booksellers in support of the freedom to read and explore ideas.

Then keep reading.

Keep asking questions.

Keep listening.

And maybe pick up a book written by someone whose experiences or ideas are different from your own.

Because books don't require us to agree.

They invite us to think. 💙
