Maynards brass section - all use Al Cass - we're talking the days of John Donnelly, who is known to have recorded many of those (71/72)screaming leads thought to be by Ferfuson. Not that Maynard was the greatest but I thought he was. He did not use Al Cass, he was under contract to use the brand he was using at the time. When Al Cass heard how much Maynard was paid, he was grateful he didn't pay any of those who gave their endorsement.
