🚨 The CT Bat Maternity Season is Officially OVER! 🚨

Have you been hearing light scratching in your walls at dusk, or finding dark droppings (guano) around your deck or roofline?

Because bats are protected in Connecticut, it is illegal to exclude them from June through mid-August to protect their flightless pups. But now that late August is here, the legal window for humane, permanent bat removal is OPEN. 🦇

Whether you have a historic Westport colonial or a modern home in Milford, bats only need a half-inch gap to move in. We just published the ultimate homeowner’s guide covering:
✅ How to spot the 5 early warning signs of an infestation
✅ Why Fairfield & New Haven County architecture attracts them
✅ Our strict CT DEEP-compliant 4-step exclusion and attic sanitization process

Protect your home's structure and your family's health before winter sets in. Read the full guide here:https://www.ncswildlifesolutions.com/protecting-your-connecticut-home-the-ultimate-guide-to-legal-and-humane-bat-removal-in-fairfield-new-haven-counties

Check out this 5 star Google Business Profile review by Kyle A:
Scott was awesome and prompt getting the critters out of our attic. Explained the whole process and even told me how to take preventive steps to not attract wildlife to my house. Great with dogs/dog friendly and house hold animals as well. A true animal lover.

Bat exclusion today on a big one🏗️

Put up “one way doors” in the form of a “bat cone” this allows the bats to leave and not come back in.

Once they leave, we will seal up the entry points.

Everybody who calls for bats has the same question… “how are the bats getting into my house?” Here are the common places bats find their way into your attic. Not to mention flying squirrels find the same gaps!

As we go into the attic to check for Bats, we open the attic door and this little guy falls right out onto the ground! We removed him from the living space and brought him to the outside world

🐿️ Squirrel Exclusion!

Today we used Pest Blok to seal around the soffit vents and help prevent squirrels from getting into the attic.

A simple, effective way to close up those vulnerable entry points and keep wildlife where it belongs! 🏠🐿️

🪶 The Infamous Chimney Swift… Not Every Animal in Your Chimney Needs to Be Removed! 🏠

One of the most common calls we get is, “There’s something stuck in my chimney!” Surprisingly, it’s often not an animal that’s trapped at all—it’s a chimney swift.

These unique little birds are frequently mistaken for bats, squirrels, starlings, or other wildlife because of the scratching, fluttering, and constant chirping they make. In reality, your chimney is exactly where they want to be! They use chimneys as a substitute for the hollow trees they naturally nested in.

Here’s the important part: Chimney swifts are federally protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. That means they cannot legally be removed or disturbed while they’re nesting.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a magic solution to get them out. The only legal option is to let nature take its course. Once the young birds have fledged, the entire family will leave on their own and eventually migrate all the way to South America for the winter.

After they’ve left, that’s the perfect time to install a quality chimney cap to prevent them from returning next season.

If you’re hearing noises in your chimney, don’t assume it’s a trapped animal. Give us a call—we can help identify what’s actually living in there and explain the safest and legal options.
