Our customer service representatives received several calls earlier this week from customers who reported being contacted by an individual falsely claiming to be an employee of Millry Communications. The caller stated that the company was abandoning its fiber-to-the home project. This information is incorrect. Millry Communications remains fully committed to this initiative and continues to work diligently to replace all copper lines with fiber-to-the-home service for customers throughout our service area. As of last night, we had approximately 70 active trouble tickets for customers. Our technicians will be working today to restore service to all of the remaining customers. Friday, 10:43 a.m. update: As of last night, of the estimated 542 subscribers without service, we have restored service to 359 of those homes and businesses. We are working diligently to restore service to all of our customers. Please keep in mind that we are sending technicians to each home to replace network equipment so it will take time to restore service for all of our customers. If you have called in your outage, we have created a ticket, and a technician will be dispatched to your home or business. Because the length of time needed to restore service varies by equipment, we unfortunately cannot give an estimated time for restoration. If you have questions or concerns, our Customer Service team is available to speak with you. If you have NOT called to report an outage, please call our office today at 1-888-227-5710. We appreciate your patience. Due to the high number of impacted customers, our phones were forwarded to our answering service as of 2:30 p.m. yesterday. Even when we are closed, our answering service is available 24 hours a day to take your information, which they pass along to us by email. Today our phones will continue to be answered by our answering service so that our Customer Service Representatives can take the information provided and create a trouble ticket for each customer. Our technicians worked until 7 p.m. last night going to individual customer businesses and homes to replace equipment. They will be working again today to restore service. Please be aware that this will take time as we go to each home and business impacted by this outage. Thank you for understanding. We appreciate your business and are available to help. We will not be able to comment on individual posts on our page. Once we get through this mass outage, please call our office with any questions or concerns. For now, please call if you have not already done so to give your subscriber phone number and a good contact number. If you have already called, please know that your call has been logged, and we are working to dispatch a technician to your home or business as soon as possible. Network outage update as of 4:00 PM:

632 subscribers are impacted by the firmware update. The short-term solution is to replace the optical network terminal to which the fiber optic cable to the home or business connects, which requires a technician to visit each subscriber. Millry's technicians are working diligently to replace the ONT at each impacted location.

Please call our help desk at 888-227-5710 available 24 hours and provide the representative your subscriber telephone number and your best contact number. Some of the ONTs are on the outside of the home or business and many are inside the home or business. The procedure and the amount of time required to replace the ONT differs based on its location.

We will contact and work with all impacted subscribers to effect an ONT replacement at your location.
