Today, I was a speaker panelist at the Center for Economic Inclusion's 2023 Powering Inclusion Summit. The topic was Diversifying Supply Chains to Diversify the economy.

The moderator knew I was a Procurement and contracting expert and right before we started he said "Lynn.
Don't hold back. Let her rip"

My response..."ohhh you shouldn't say that to me....cuz I will and they may not enjoy keep how real I speak!

I didn't only state the issues of SYSTEMATIC BARRIERS for minorities and what people leaders can do to make a difference. I CLOSED the session with the theme of HOW government agencies and private sectors and gave them ways of what can be done!!

And... guess what....the crowd of DEIB, Corporate EDGs, agencies and private sectors including 3M, United Properties and others... applauded my solutions amd straightforward-ness...😊

This Weeks Guest on the Procurement Games Podcast is Ling Becker. Ling is the Director of Workforce Solutions for Ramsey County and Executive Director of the Workforce Innovation Board of Ramsey County. She oversees a department of 80 staff who deliver $20M dollars workforce services and programs to residents and businesses of Ramsey County in partnership with dozens of community based organizations.

Prior to that role, Ling was the Executive Director of the Vadnais Heights Economic Development Corporation serving the NE metro connecting businesses and local governments on economic development projects and programs. In that role, Ling lead several award-winning workforce partnerships with local school district, community colleges and employer partners.

Ling is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Morris and holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Syracuse University where she was a Woodrow Wilson Fellow. In 2018, she was a recipient of Minnesota Business Magazines REAL Power 50 Award for her work in helping businesses grow and expand in the NE metro area. In 2022, Ling was honored with the Saint Paul Area Chambers H.E.R.B.I.E. Award.
