As my tenure on the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota board comes to an end this March—Women’s History Month—I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey of the past six years. Serving in leadership roles, from chairing the Governance Committee to stepping into the roles of Vice Chair and, most recently, Board Chair, has been an honor and a privilege.
My commitment to women and girls has always been at the center of my work, and being part of a foundation that relentlessly advances gender and racial equity has only deepened that purpose. This board has been a place of bold vision, collaboration, and action—where we’ve worked to create pathways for women, girls, and gender-expansive people to thrive. I am proud of the work we have done together to shape a more just and inclusive future.
Leaving during Women’s History Month feels especially fitting. It is a moment to honor the legacies of those who came before us while making space for the next generation of leaders to step in and carry the work forward. I am grateful for the relationships built, the lessons learned, and the impact we have made together.
