I first met Jellybean in what seems like a different life, long ago after I moved here from CA, a meek kind working security at this new club called the Minnesota Music Cafe. He was, simply, one of the nicest guys I have ever met. Not just in a music "scene," but anywhere. I ran into him recently, having not seen him for more years than I can remember, and he greeted me like we were old pals.

There are a few more stories, some of them bordering on tall tales, but none of them are appropriate for FB!

Here's to Jellybean.

I used to have a vintage saddle bag that I truly loved. It got stolen. I wanted a replacement to mark a very special (and secret) occasion and asked if he could do it. Boy, did he do it. Look at this bag. Pictures cannot do it justice. You can't hold your phone to your face and smell the leathery goodness. You can't zoom in and see the precise hand tooling and stitching. I rarely get to rave like this about anything, and maybe it's odd to do so about a leather bag, but I'm simply over the moon about this work of art. Thank you, !

In the coming weeks I will be listing this recently acquired vintage/original fall of 1957 to 1960 Gibson PAF. I haven't determined a price but if you or anyone you know is interested, contact me.

The screw coil has a visible break that is buried. It will require a rewind. I'll be offering it as is OR rewound (on one period Geo Stevens winders, of course). Two of the base screws were non-original.

Revel O.G. PAF set in double black butyrate. Not just any butyrate bobbin, but NOS bobbins! Over a decade old now from a manufacturer who has long since gone the way of many a post-covid business. Revel, meanwhile...we're keeping on.

On The Bench: Pickup from a 1957 Supro Westwood. A paper bobbin in pretty good condition considering it's 68 years old. Some reinforcement, a rewind, and a grounding issue to work out (between metals that don't easily take solder). All better now.
