🏛️ Circa Leadership Spotlight: Devon Wayt| BSM, MBA, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, recently supported several behavioral health bills and testified before the California State Assembly Health Committee on AB 1879 in his role as Chair of the California Alliance for Behavioral Health and Addiction Treatment (CABAT).

During testimony, Devon emphasized the need for stronger statewide alignment in substance use disorder treatment reporting, stating:

"California has thousands of licensed and certified substance use disorder treatment providers. Right now, we have no consistent, statewide picture of what’s working, what’s available, and who’s being served. That’s a serious problem when we’re trying to invest public dollars wisely, close gaps in access, and actually move the needle on recovery outcomes. AB 1879 changes that. It brings non-Medi-Cal, non-county-contracted providers into a unified data reporting structure—using frameworks that already exist: CalOMS-T and/or DATAR. This is not new bureaucracy. It’s smart, long-overdue alignment."
