There’s something I absolutely love about photographing seniors right now.

Gen Z has this incredible way of being brave and unapologetically themselves. They’re not always interested in fitting into the version of “senior pictures” that we grew up with and honestly? I’m here for it.

When Nora’s mom told me that Nora “might” want to bring her sword and love for theater, for a few photos, my answer was an immediate and unwavering YES! 😂

Because why not?

Your senior photos should feel like you! The things you love, the things that make you weird, the things that make you laugh, the things you’re proud of. If that means a sword, bring the sword. If it means your guitar, your boots, your favorite car, your art, your dog, or something nobody else would think to bring… bring it.

I love getting to photograph this generation because they keep reminding me that authenticity is so much more interesting than perfection.

So here’s to seniors who know who they are, aren’t afraid to show it, and are willing to bring a sword to their senior session. ⚔️

I’ll always make room for that.
