Fire in the Sky; 2020 has been a year full of surprises. Not the kind you want to plan for either. After several days of worry, the East Desert Fire near our home is 100 percent contained as of 4 hours ago.

I have stayed up every night looking to the east watching the mountain blaze. The first night, I came outside every 20 minutes to look off my deck to see how far down the mountain she was. Right before day break, my eyes heavy, I stumble back out to take a look, and I see a huge sliver of a huge orange moon. It was the same color the fire had been all night long. It made me double take, and then I grabbed my camera.

Once that moon came into view, the fire was never seen again. Only smoke, until she was no more.
