A trainer in the Midwest told me he used to work 13 hour days.

Not because he loved it. Because he had to. Chase leads. Follow up. Sell. Train. Do it again tomorrow. He said there was no such thing as off the clock.

Ten years in the fitness industry. He knows the grind.

Then his studio put a real system in.

Six months later they went from 60 members to over 100. He is not working 13 hour days anymore. And when a lead comes in while he is on the floor with a client, that lead still gets an answer. Just not from him.

Here is the part most owners miss. He told me that without it, they would have had to hire a front desk person just to keep up. That is a salary. Every month. Forever.

The average gym loses half its new leads because nobody follows up in the first hour. Not because the staff is lazy. Because the staff is buried. On a P&L those two things look exactly the same.

We only work in fitness. Seven and a half years, no other industry. My business partner is the second largest Anytime Fitness owner in the world, 140 locations, 20 plus years running gyms. We are not marketers who found gyms. We are gym owners who learned marketing.

He was working 13 hour days and thought that was just the job.

What are you still telling yourself is just the job?

Most agencies use the word partner. Very few act like one.

A partner tells you the truth when a number goes the wrong way. A vendor sends a report and goes quiet.

A new review came in this week. The owner said working with Chad and our team has been an amazing experience, and that we "truly partner with you to get the best possible results." Her words, not mine.

So let me say what partner actually means inside a gym.

It means getting into the messy parts. The front desk that runs on memory, Post-it notes, and hope. The calls nobody writes down. 62% of calls to local businesses go unanswered. In a gym, that is usually somebody who already decided to join. They called, nobody picked up, and they signed at the place down the street.

A partner does not hand you a tool and walk away. We install the system. Leads get answered fast. Visits get booked. Follow-up keeps going when the floor is packed and the phone is ringing. The owner stops being the thing holding it all together.

The reason we work this way is simple. We are gym owners. We own and run clubs ourselves, and gyms are the only business we touch. When your numbers slide, we feel it the way an owner feels it.

You find out fast which kind you hired. Watch what happens the week something breaks. A vendor gets quiet. A partner gets on the phone.

5-Star Google Review #192.

This one came from a location we work with in Texas. The owner did not just thank us for leads. He thanked Chad on our team for giving his staff direct coaching and for staying on top of their leads. His words: "Highly recommend them."

That coaching part matters more than most owners realize.

Most marketing agencies will not touch your sales team. They run the ads, send over the leads, and wish you luck. If your staff cannot close, that is your problem, not theirs.

Here is what that costs. Only 30% of local businesses ever work on their sales process. The ones that do see conversions climb 40 to 60%. It is the biggest lever in a gym, and almost nobody pulls it.

We coach sales teams because we can. You cannot teach a gym sales team if you have never run one. Our team has decades of combined experience owning and operating gyms across multiple brands. When Chad works with a front desk crew, he is showing them what he has done, not what he read somewhere.

And the leads never sit. The follow-up runs on a system we install, so nothing waits on a busy front desk.

192 reviews. All five stars. The pattern behind them is boring and repeatable. Coach the team. Stay on the leads. Watch the numbers move.

An Anytime Fitness in Jacksonville is up over 80% in net sales. June and July, compared to the same two months last year. In Florida. In the dead of summer.

Here is why that number is a big deal.

A Planet Fitness had moved into their market and it hurt. Bad. The damage was showing up in their member numbers. They tried other marketing companies. One for memberships, one for training. The GM called them "super one dimensional." Ads and nothing else. Nothing stopped the slide.

Then they came to us, and we did not start with more ad spend. We started with visibility.

98% of people check Google before picking a gym, but only 11% of staff ever ask for a review. So while the big box spent its way to the top, this gym was invisible in its own backyard. Not anymore. Now they show up right in the ranks, and the people searching down the street finally see them and their offers.

We also got them signing up members online, around the clock. The GM was hesitant. Brandon on our team pushed him to try it. Memberships came in. All with a staff of four.

When I asked him why it worked with us when nothing else did, he did not mention ads. He said, "You guys own your own clubs. You have the owner's mindset." Brandon owns and operates Anytime Fitness locations himself. He has fought off Planet Fitness in his own markets. When he tells a gym what to do next, it is not a guess.

A big box moving in does not have to be a death sentence. In almost eight years of working only with gyms, we have watched this exact story end well over and over. The gyms that make it are the ones people can actually find and join.

A gym owner in Tucson tripled her membership since the end of April.

Her first three months of pre-sale with another marketing company got her about 35 members. Then growth went flat. Leads still came in, but the quality was rough. Her small team burned hours chasing people who never picked up.

She switched to us in the spring. Since then she has averaged about 20 new members a month. She is closing in on 90 total. In the middle of summer, the slowest stretch most gyms see all year.

So what changed?

Not the ad budget. The system behind it. Leads now get answered, qualified, and booked before her staff ever touches them. Her core team of three only talks to people who are ready to move. She told us she can leave the studio for weeks at a time now, and it still runs.

Here is why that matters. The average gym loses half its new leads because nobody follows up in the first hour. Most owners try to fix that by hiring more staff. She fixed it with fewer people than most gyms her size.

One more thing worth knowing. One of the people on my team owns 12 Anytime Fitness locations and three InMotion Stretch Labs.
Gyms are all we do. So when we built her follow-up process, it came from running gyms, not from guessing.

She has already pointed other owners in her franchise our way. Over 500 gym owners have gone on record about what working with us changed. Almost every story starts where hers did. Flat growth, and a team stretched thin.

Six marketing companies. Thousands of dollars. Nominal results.

That is how a gym owner in our client base described the last few years before he found us. And it is the most common story I hear.

The average gym spends $3,000 to $6,000 a month on marketing, then loses most of it after the lead comes in. The agency gets paid either way. The owner eats the loss.

Then a Planet Fitness opened less than 2 miles from his gym.

Most owners would panic. Cut prices. Throw more money at ads.

Instead, his monthly enrollment grew 50% in his first 2 months with us.

Part of it was turning on online enrollment. People can now join his gym 24/7, even when the front desk is closed and everyone is asleep. Part of it was working with Brandon on our team, who the owner called an amazing coach. His words: "He speaks our language as he is a fellow gym owner."

That last part is not an accident. My business partner owns 140 Anytime Fitness locations. Gyms are the only industry we work in. When we tell an owner what will move the needle, it comes from running gyms, not from a pitch deck.

No long contract. No huge ad spend. Just a system that signs people up while you sleep.

2,000+ gyms in, the story barely changes. The ads were never the real problem. What happens after the lead shows up is.

Chad on my team got named in a Google review this week. I want to talk about why.

The review came from an Alloy Gym owner down in Texas. His words, not ours. Great leads pouring in. Several signed up already. Very satisfied.

Sounds simple. It is not.

Follow up with a lead inside 5 minutes and your odds of signing them jump 400%. Most gym staff take days. Some never reply at all. That is where the ad budget dies.

His gym does not have that gap anymore. The system answers fast, books the visit, and keeps following up until the person walks through the door. Nobody at the front desk has to remember a thing.

I did not learn any of this from a marketing course. I learned it from 7.5 years working only with gyms, alongside partners who own them. One of mine has been a gym owner for over 20 years.

We have been inside enough gyms to know exactly where the revenue leaks. It is almost always the same place.

Review #188

Most marketing agencies send you leads and call it a day.

The leads don't show. They don't convert. Then the agency blames your staff.

A gym owner left us a review this week. They switched to us from another marketing company. Here is what changed for them.

More quality leads. Leads that actually turn into members. Plus weekly coaching, so their team gets sharper at converting every single week. Their words: "I feel like my toolkit for converting new members is growing."

That last part is the piece most gyms miss. Only 30% of local businesses ever work on their sales process. The ones that do see conversions jump 40 to 60%. Getting the lead is half the job. Turning it into a member is the other half. Most agencies never touch that half.

We do, because we have lived it. My business partner owns 140 Anytime Fitness locations and has run gyms for more than 20 years. You learn fast that a lead means nothing until someone converts it.
If you want to see how your team handles consultations, comment COACH below. I'll send you the free AI sales coach we built for gym owners. It grades real sales conversations and can role play with your staff. Costs nothing.

Justin owns a gym. He switched to us about a month ago. In one month, his growth went up. He says his ads work way better now than before.

Here is what most gym owners miss. Good ads are not the whole story. You can get twice as many leads and still lose half of them. Most gyms lose half their new leads because no one calls them back fast. So the ads work. The phone rings. And the money still slips away.

We did not hand Justin a tool to babysit. We put in a system. It grabs the lead. It follows up fast. It books the call before that person loses interest. Then we coached him on how to convert those leads and keep them for the long haul. Justin is not the one holding it all together anymore.

That is what we bring. And it comes from one place. We are gym owners too. My partner owns 140 Anytime Fitness gyms. He has run gyms for more than 20 years. This is the only work we do.

Want to see more? Scroll through my profile. There are hundreds of reviews and stories just like this one. Gym owners who left another company and came to us. The change in their results was night and day.

We just crossed 186 five star reviews. Every one from a gym owner.

Here is why that matters. 98% of people check Google before they pick a gym. But only 11% of gym staff ever ask a member for a review. Most gyms are invisible right when a prospect is deciding.

We fixed that for the gym owner who left this:

"Gym Members Now and Chad have been an incredible partner in helping us grow our Google reviews and increase our lead volume. Chad has been responsive, knowledgeable, and easy to work with every step of the way. His support has made a real impact on our business."

Two things changed. More Google reviews. More leads coming in.
That did not happen by accident. We installed a system that asks for reviews on autopilot and follows up with every lead fast. The owner stopped chasing it by hand. The business started running tighter.

We can help because we live in your world. My business partner owns 140 Anytime Fitness locations. We have worked with over 2,000 gyms. This is the only industry we touch.

Seven and a half years. 2,000+ gyms. The pattern never changes. The gyms that win are the ones with a system doing this every day, not a person trying to remember.
