What a great weekend. Seems like the youth hunts get funner and funner.I admit i'm old school, heck my first hunt was for saber tooth tigers.lol i never thought i would meet a 6yr old that was old enough toshoot a deer. I stand corrected, and it was the cutest little girl you ever saw that shot a 4pt on her first hunt.4 youths hunted 1 doe 1 buck harvested.

The thing about supplemental feeding is helps the younger deer more than the older ones. one of these bucks is 31/2yrs old and has had fed his whole life. the other one is 61/2yrs old but was 31/2 when we first got the land. it will be interesting next year to see how big the 31/2 will get.

The bucks are losing their velvet. this big 9pt has kept his velvet until october the last 2 years. hope he keeps it lat...

Back in early june i noticed a buck had injured his horns and had a wound between his eyes. His horns started growing a couple weeks later. These pics show its not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of fight in the dog.
