Welcome to 2026 from Wade Precision Connections!

2025 was our first full year, and it was an exciting and successful one. Anyone who comes from a manufacturing background understands that this industry moves in cycles. Early Q1 ramps, spring pressure, summer slowdowns, and the year end sprint are all part of the rhythm. Some months are full throttle, others require patience and planning.

That experience is exactly why WPC exists.

We work alongside customers during the busy times and the quiet ones, helping balance capacity, lead times, and cost without sacrificing quality. Our portfolio includes highly capable CNC, Swiss, welding, fabrication, finishing, assembly, and specialty machining partners, all shops we know, trust, and have worked with directly.

Whether you need overflow support, a new supplier, or a better long term sourcing strategy, WPC is here to help you navigate it.

Here’s to a strong 2026 and building smart, reliable manufacturing connections.

Speed Wins: Why Timely Quotes Can Make or Break the Sale

In manufacturing, quoting is often seen as just another task, but in reality, it’s a critical moment to win or lose business.

Many of the companies I work with today are under tight deadlines, not just from their own customers, but because they lost time before finding the right supplier. And when a buyer finally has an RFQ in hand, they’re often just trying to keep the job moving.

In my previous roles, quoting was one of several hats I wore. Despite the workload, I made it a personal rule: if the quote was straightforward, it was out the door in less than 24 hours. Yes, there are exceptions—coatings, materials, and complex assemblies can take time, but let’s be honest, the majority of quotes don’t need days to sit idle. A simple lathe/mill part shouldn’t take a week.

Here’s why speed matters:

• 78% of buyers award to the first qualified quote (source: ThomasNet survey).

• 60% of purchasers say lead time and responsiveness outweigh price when choosing a vendor.

• Many buyers admit that once they receive a solid quote, they simply close the RFQ loop, especially when juggling dozens of projects.

If you want to grow your business, quoting isn’t the back office, it’s the front door. It tells your customer how seriously you take them. And in a market where the fastest one often wins, being “on time” means being first.

Don’t lose the job before you even get the chance to earn it.

From Shop Class to Skilled Careers: Reviving the Trades

Remember when high schools offered courses like machine shop, wood shop, and auto repair? Students graduated with hands on experience welding, wiring circuits, rebuilding engines, skills that translated directly into well paying jobs.

Over time, these programs faded, replaced by a singular focus on four-year college degrees. While higher education has its merits, this shift left a gap in our workforce.

Today, we’re witnessing a resurgence in the trades. Skilled professionals like electricians, plumbers, and CNC machinists are in high demand, with starting salaries often rivaling or exceeding those of college graduates. For instance, trade school graduates can expect an average salary of $67,149 annually, while college graduates average around $47,749 .

At Wade Precision Connections, we see firsthand the critical need for skilled tradespeople. These careers offer stability, growth, and the satisfaction of tangible work without the burden of student debt.

It’s time to reintroduce vocational training in our schools and highlight the value of these essential careers.

Let’s bring back the trades!

Let’s clear up a common misconception about tariffs and pricing.

Whether you love or hate tarrifs, the metrics don't change.

If a product sells in the U.S. for $100 and there’s a 25% tariff, that tariff isn’t applied to the retail price it’s applied to the cost of goods.

So if a shoe costs $10 to produce (which is common), a 25% tariff adds $2.50. The new landed cost becomes $12.50. That means the retailer’s margin drops slightly from $90 to $87.50, not by 25%.

So when a brand raises retail prices by 25% and blames the tariff… they’re not telling the whole story.

Want transparency in pricing? Understand the mechanics:

Tariffs are based on cost, not retail

Margins are what take the initial hit

Price hikes often far exceed actual tariff costs

Know the numbers. It's simple math.

A new era of U.S. manufacturing is on the horizon, are you ready to bring work home?

The Big Beautiful Bill is more than a headline, it’s a strategic shift that favors American-made. With proposed tax cuts, infrastructure support, and a push for energy independence, the U.S. is positioning itself to be the most attractive manufacturing base in decades.

For companies looking to reshore operations and strengthen local supply chains, this is the moment to move.
Why wait for disruption to force your hand when policy is paving the way?

At Wade Precision Connections & Consultation, we’re already working with ISO9001:2015, DOD approved and ITAR registered manufacturers across the country, shops that are ready for the volume, the complexity, and the accountability that reshoring demands.

If your business is looking to bring work back to U.S. soil, let’s talk. We connect companies with vetted, reliable domestic manufacturing partners who are prepared to deliver now.

Reshoring isn’t a trend, it’s a strategy. And it just got a lot more powerful!

Today we are doing some deep hole drilling in Stainless Steel. This is not for the faint of heart! Deep hole drilling can be very challenging and costly. This 20xD solid carbide drill with through tool coolant cost roughly $800 and one little mistake can make the difference between profit and loss. But what a sound when they are programmed just right!

5 axis milling of probed parts. With custom built fixtures to hold more than 1 part at a time the operator has more time to focus on quality! This also optimizes down time. When a machine sits, nobody makes money!

Probing on a 5 axis Mazak to ensure optimal machining and position. The Renishaw probe relays the exact position of the material back to the machine and resets your WPC (Work Place Coordinates). Basically tells the machine exactly where the X,Y and Z are located.
