I also serve as the Director of the Montevallo Methodist Preschool and serve in the local schools. Once I became a Mom over 16 years ago, I realized that I was constantly taking pictures. I was also constantly taking my children to photographers to capture their beautiful faces at different times in their lives. I didn't want to forget any stage! So, about 7 years ago, I realized my babies weren't
always going to be babies and be at home with me. What was I going to do then? I have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education, I could return to teaching. However, that would not afford me the time I wanted and needed to be very involved in my children's school and all the activities that entailed. So, being blessed with the most supportive husband in the world, I quietly began pursuing a photography career. I have taken a dozen or so classes from Samford University's After Sundown program photography classes, as well as classes from A-2 Photography, from a great, experienced guy who I now call friend and adviser. I have learned that I find true JOY in taking pictures. I enjoy being with other people and enjoy giving them back a little time-capsule to save a sweet smile or an unforgettable moment in their life for them to revisit as often as they like. I have a part time job as the Director at a local preschool which is such a joy and I serve as a volunteer in the local schools and with my children's cheerleading teams. I am very busy in the community but love to make time to take pictures as well. At this time, I typically only do natural light pictures. This does mean that I am very dependent on good weather! Lots of praying happens for weather before a scheduled shoot! I would love to talk to you about the possibility of working with you and hope that I can help you capture a special moment to add to your own book of memories! Please message me or call me for more information!!
