A Difficult Decision, But a Necessary One 🤍
This is a post I’ve gone back and forth about making, but I know it’s the right decision. As some of you know I have been diagnosed with cancer shortly after turkey season and I am in ongoing treatments.
Effective immediately, I will not be accepting any new customer orders until further notice.
I am incredibly grateful for every person who has trusted me with their birds, feathers, memories, and special pieces. Feathered Traditions has grown into more than I ever imagined, and saying “no” to new orders is difficult for me because I truly love what I do.
But right now, I need to give my attention to two things: taking care of the customers who have already trusted me with their orders and taking care of my health.
Going through treatment while trying to work, keep up with life, and run a small business has made me realize that I cannot continue adding more to my plate without sacrificing something—and my health cannot be that something.
My goal is to use this time to work through my current order list at a pace my body allows, get caught up, and give each existing order the time and attention it deserves.
If I currently have an order or bird of yours, please know that I have not forgotten about you. I am working through everything as I am able, and I cannot thank you enough for the patience, grace, and understanding so many of you have shown me.
This is not goodbye to Feathered Traditions. It’s simply me recognizing that sometimes you have to slow down so you can keep going.
Thank you for supporting my business, but even more importantly, thank you for supporting the person behind it. 🤍
I’ll let everyone know when I am ready to begin accepting new orders again.
