Welcome to Friday and still ahead of the after 18:00 posts.

Very pleased to hear the A.I.S. replacement solved the idle concern we were presented with on the '99 Dodge Ram.

Utilizing scan-tool functional tests for A.I.S. (Air Idle Speed) Chrysler/Dodge term for I.A.C. ( Idle Air Control) such as stepper motor test or idle control.
Keep in mind, when you are looking at I.A.C. with scan-tool data(PID)you are generally looking at what is being commanded(what the ECM/PCM wants to have happen.) The computer may be commanding 150 steps(counts),(0-255) that does not mean the I.A.C moved at all.
In the absence of such bi-directional tests, we still utilize our I.A.C. testers we have had since the '80s.
